no, No, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!
No KreO GI Joe! Focus on the regular line 4" figures and vehicles. I know Joe will never reach the status it had in the 80s, but it could be a lot better than where it is now. When it get's to the point where we have to hunt at discount stores, drug stores and supermarkets it's not a good thing. I know the big three (idiots) TRU, Target & Wal Mart will jump all over the Movie stuff next year, but I want the brand to go strong without relying on a movie. Whatever, we already know KreO Joe will be out with the movie stuff next year. I just wish Hasbro would put more effort into the stuff that's been out for 29 years. AND STOP CHANGING THE THEME EVERY DAMN YEAR!!! I think everyone wants the brand to go strong without relying on a movie but retailers don't seem to think that's possible. As for changing themes, that's been the name of the game ever since retailers got more clout and the big 3 started changing the game. In their eyes, if something doesn't sell, change will happen or toys will not be ordered. When it boils down to it, Hasbro needs the big 3 more than the big 3 needs Hasbro, that's just the way it is. |

That's the goal. They wouldn't even be near the action figure aisles.

I think there's probably an 80 - 90% chance that we'll see at least a few G.I. Joe Kre-O sets amidst the piles of movie product we'll get next year.
However, I would also add that the chance drops significantly if the Transformers Kre-O end up bombing at retail. |

I agree with this, here in the UK GI Joe and Transformers sales have been really poor. Good for me because I got a load of the movie vehicles dirt cheap. The problem is they never released the later waves or POC over here. Look at the problem with the Transformers Reveal the Shield line in the US, funnily though they we're available in the UK.

When I was at Walmart this weekend I had a Kre-O set in my cart. I overheard a kid telling his Mom, "See? See that Mom? That's Kre-O. Look Mom...". I can only assume he's asking her to buy Kre-O as a gift or something. At least at Walmart the Kre-O is on the same aisle as Lego, but at TRU it's over on a different aisle with the lesser building sets.
Now I'm kind of wondering if those Super Blox military sets are made by Oxford as well? I noticed the company is Crazy Art, but perhaps Oxford is the actual manufacturer? I need to double check. I was always kind of interested in the tank and A-10, but I hesitate due to fear that the quality would be bad. If Oxford makes Kre-O and also Super Blox maybe they are not so bad. Edit: After poking around the internet I find that Super Blox found at Walmart are made by a Chinese company called Woma Toys. The do look similar to the Oxford stuff and Kre-O. However, that could just be a testament to the excellent ability of Chinese companies to copy other brands. Still, I am curious to check them out and see for myself. I learned my lesson with collecting GI Joe Combat Heroes and Mighty Muggs. Joe KreO would just be another line Hasbro pulls the plug on when you only have have the characters and leave you hanging. So disappointing.

Think there is any chance we'll see a preview at SDCC next week?

Unlikely as there's no G.I. Joe panel for Hasbro at SDCC.
Toy Fair 2012 is probably the earliest we'd see it, along with the unveiling of the new movie product. |

The force is strong with Lego. Hasbro is not wise to tread in these waters.
That being said, I'm still sitting on the fence about picking up any of the transformers sets, I'm checking out reviews right now. I can spend 29.99 on a Star Scream or get a Lego Lighthouse for 10$ more. Still, the Kreons (sp?) are calling me, and I really want some of them
