He was also offered the role of Brown in The Departed. Lets just face facts, if he couldn't hold his own he wouldn't have been offered a key role in a movie with that much of an outstanding cast and oscar winning director if they had not seen something. Anderson did a great job in that role but keep in mind he was a second choice.

he was born in 1969. He turned 42 on the 5th of this month. The GI Joe he was talking about was the 12" that came out in the 60's. Not shocked this is what he got first. He would have been in his early teens when the cartoons came out. Not shocking that he would have watched them.
So I wouldn't be shocked if he had the original 12" Joe toys to play with but was getting out of the toys around the time the cartoon came out but still watched the cartoon. But that is just looking at facts and using logic. the interview seemed extremely fake to me, i just listened to it 2 more times and it still sounds fake to me so im gonna stick with my original statement

Im more and more positive about this movie all the time. The most disappointing thing ive heard so far is that Tatum is back, but if the movie will focus on the RoadblockRockBeast and Snake Eyes then I think it will be good.

Bad casting choice in my opinion. Just because he's into retro kung fu movies and is affiliated with Afro Samurai doesn't mean he should be a shoe in for every martial arts movie that comes down the pike. I'm not into rap but I understand the exitement of the people who are, however, not everyone can make the leap from music to movies and vice versa.
