everyone keeps saying (WELL THE COMIC PACKS ARE STILL THE SAME PRICE) here is why they are still the same price for now, (THE COMIC FIGURES ARE MADE WITH A LOWER GRADE CHEAPER PLASTIC) so they cost less to produce than the regular figures. you can be assured until fuel costs come down, figure costs will not significantly decrease

Well here in Jacksonville, Fl., 3 Targets changed thier Jo prices to $7.99 today, No joes were put out, just the price tag was changed and is now reading 7.99 right next to the $9.99 comic packs. Now the Star wars comic packs now show as $12.99, cant remember if they were always that price or not.

Well I was glad and pissed at the same time. I went in one Target, and in my happiness of finding W9 I just grabbed all six and payed for them. Went to another one and got two army builders when I see the price at the register 7.99!!!!
I get home and realized I still got a w9 for the 6.84 price but payed nearly 17 dollars for 2 figs...damn it Target, you were doing so good....

while i may understand the reasoning behind the price increases, implementing htem at a time when product is supossed to be ramping up may not be a good combination. joes were for awhile a steal however you were lucky to find them. now that they are becoming mainstream at retail (compared to a year ago) many will be cutting back. i bought gobs of figiures in the cheap days and my army building has slowly dwindled. this latest round of price hikes will only lead to the continued cut backs in my joe spending. with the large amount of stuff coming this year, i think most of us are going to have to start being picky about what we do and don't buy.
give a few months and when pegs start to fill up and stay that way, hasbro/retail will have no one to blame but themselves for the impending slow down. you can bet they will posture it differently however, blaming poor consumer demand or some such baloney.

Paid my first $7.99 today and on top of that my coupon didn't work. This is really dumb of target. Raise the prices and take away a coupon!!! Want a kidney while you're at it!

All 4 of my Targer raised their prices to 7.99, no new product was out but the price tags were change. I scanned an old wave 4 scarlett that has been sitting on the shelves for months and it rang up 7.99. I also noticed the raised the price on Indiana Jones figures to 7.99 as well. I used to shop at target all the time but not anymore. I preordered a cas of the wave 10 armybuilders case and it comes out to $8.25 after shipping. So by the time you add state sales tax here it will cost me $8.50 per figure and that doesnt even take into account the cost of gas to drive to all these different stores.
