So, it just occurred to me, the Rhino in the new Target listings (you know, these ones:
087-06-0441 joe vehicle 14.99 087-06-0904 joe battlepack 19.99 087-06-1092 rhino vehicle w/fig 24.99 087-06-2047 joe large vehicle 24.99 087-06-2067 joe ultimate battlepack 59.99 What if the Rhino vehicle mentioned is not the fairly obscure 2005 G.I.Joe one, but instead this: http://www.virtualtoychest.co.uk/m/m...rhinobox1c.jpg I mean, we know that we're getting Matt Trakker as Specialist Trakker, so why not his ride as well? Notice that the rhino is the only product listed that doesn't specifically say "Joe"as well. Maybe because it's actually M.A.S.K.?... |

That vehicle in 1:18th scale would have to be more expensive than $24.99, wouldn't it?

i am not sure what the old MSRP on the MASK stuff was, but I remember looking at some of the prices of the stuff on YoJoe (Rolling Thunder for $23? That thing was HUGE!) and it really wasn't altogether that much. The Target exclusives are also pretty cheap, considering. I am not saying the Rhino that has been hinted at by these Target DCPI (DPCI? DIPC? YMCA?) will be a $25 1/18 scale Rhino, but its possible.
I want a Thunderhawk more though. :o

I will hope and dream, but not hold my breath. The all new tool that this would require to bring it up to 25th Joe scale ( which is larger than ARAH joe scale, which in turn was easily an inch larger than the original M.A.S.K. scale) would not be worth the risk of such an obscure long shot, certainly not as an exclusive anyway.
If they do decide to rerelease M.A.S.K. Vehicles from the original molds, Would they still use the name Rhino for the M.A.S.K. vehicle? |

Could it possibly be a repaint of the Warthog? In 2001 they repainted it and called it the "Night Rhino". Only time will tell I guess.

Ok i wanted to give a little update to the Target listings now that i've looked into it. It is true that all these are in the system. Even better they all show them on withdrawal to the warehouses. In fact we show about 74,000 eaches coming of the regular vehicles packs which is about 25,000 more than we had of the exclusives to give you an idea. The ultimate pack shows 25,000 on withdrawal. One weird thing i noticed about this set was it listed the vendor as Hasbro/ preschool? Not sure if that means anything or not. Anyways i will keep checking on the these and let you all know as soon as they appear on a upcoming planogram. One last thing is about the rhino vehicle. It shows nothing on withdrawal in the system at all. I've seen this listed for quite some time too so i'm not sure what to make of this item.Time will tell. I also noticed that the cost of the single packs have gone up to 5.00 each up from 3.66 before( cost that target pays). Hope this info helps. I'm really looking foward to this ultimate pack thing.
