that's the thing. you don't even know what the figures look like or even what Omega Force is and yet you are already criticizing it. and people wonder why some of us get so aggravated with the incessant complaining, criticizing, whining or whatever you want to call it that is non-stop.
-Megaforce! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...orceposter.jpg "Deeds, not words." Sounds like a Joe slogan to me! -Strike Force (saw this clip on WWE 24/7 just a few weeks ago) -and as I mentioned earlier, Delta Force! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090927/ too bad it is old man Lee Marvin, and not bad-ass Point Blank, Dirty Dozen Lee Marvin. As anyone who knows anything about 60s movies or action movies knows that Marvin is the definition, of BAD ASS!! Chuck had to learn from somebody. . . |

yeah, it sounds lame, no doubt -- sounds lame. and unless they look absolutely freakin' spectacular the likelihood of my buying them is pretty low because I don't need useless Dukes, Snake Eyes and CC's not based on vintage designs -- which is what I like most about the line. but the thought of selling my 25th collection or vowing never to buy another figure again just because a few figures are released that I don't like never crossed my mind, not to mention the idea that vintage designs need to be made before any new ideas are transitioned into the line. I like new ideas as well, and if they are cool I will welcome them into my collection just as eagerly as a vintage designed figure.

Have anything to do with this?:
Chicago, IL. (April 16, 2008) – Devil's Due breaks out an elite military comics task force this July with writer Larry Hama's 99-cent Spooks: Omega Team #0. The series will spin out from the pages of Devil's Due's current Spooks series, which Hama is writing along with NewYork Times Best Selling fantasy author R.A. Salvatore (DemonWars) and writer/director Ryan Schifrin ("Abominable"), and feature a black ops task force formed to deal with the worst supernatural threats ever faced by mankind. The first three issues of Spooks so far have sold out and the decision was made to move to monthly status. Series creator Schifrin said, "I grew up reading Larry's GI JOE comics and I wanted to give Larry an opportunity to do a monthly series where he has total creative freedom to do whatever he wants. I'm so happy that the fans have supported us and provided this chance to expand the world of SPOOKS." Hama is known for his Godfather status as one of the defining creators behind G.I. Joe. He also has an advisory role on the Joe film, currently in production. Hama, who is notorious for his action writing on G.I. Joe and Wolverine, will team up with Spooks artist Adam Archer for issue #0 before kicking off Omega Team #1, which will bring on DDP artist Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash, Halloween: Nightdance).

You've got to admit, though, "Omega Force" sounds cheese-tastic, doesn't it? Honestly, the first things that came to mind when I though of it were:
-Megaforce! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...orceposter.jpg "Deeds, not words." Sounds like a Joe slogan to me!
