I think you're onto something...
I was all about G.I.Joe going the way of the Hulk and just forgetting about the 1st abortion and completely redoing the film with no traces of ROC. A total clean slate! Guess it's not gonna happen..... Oh Scoop...get your damn tv fixed and watch Resolute! ;) |

Just like the Incredible Hulk. Out with the father/son psycho babble. Simplify the story.
CC, Destro and baroness are a must. Nanites can explain their new faces. Scarlett and SE return. Channing Tatum isn't essestial to the movie. Forget Duke and go with new characters. There's so much to choose from. As for their look. Keep the black suits but paint over the armour. Accessorize them. Harness, ammo belts, knives, etc….. |

Come on man, how ya gonna start a debate like that?? Ridiculous plot, horrible acting, laughable CGI... When Marvel started with the films..THOSE were not a bad start. A few crappy ones thrown in the mix but they started solid with Spider-Man...now THAT was a way to start a film franchise and in some ways "re-start" the Marvel franchise. I don't understand why ppl who "love" ROC come into threads that are clearly anti-ROC and I also would love to know what movies these ppl consider bad, if ROC was considered good. |

I was posting my TV woes on Facebook when he posted there telling me to watch Resolute already because he knows how I don't watch any of my Blu-rays or DVD's unless I have the perfect setting. By the way I hope that you enjoyed his show. I've know him for a fews years now and I have yet to see them in concert. We even went to the same High School only years apart. I was thinking of meeting up with him when he's down in Orlando next month for a show because I was thinking of going down there to scout out some places to live. I lived down there from 1998-2000 and I'm thinking of moving back down there because I loved it. As far as my TV's go I bought a new Samsung about 2 weeks ago which was DOA. Then then sent me another one the next day and that one died on the second day I used it. Now I'm just going to wait for the 2011 models to come out.

And I also knew it was gonna be geared to be as appealing to as wide a range of audience as possible, which means people who have either never picked up a Joe comic or figure or people who had them as kids and have since gotten out of them. Mix that with the Hollywood machine to produce an action film that pretty much fits the mold of action films and I knew I was likely to see a vaguely familar feeling film. But in my mind for years now I've had to learn not to build myself up for a film when I do that its bound to disappoint. Now I sit back shut my mind off and just try to enjoy what we have been given. Did ROC have issues? Yeah if you want to you can find issues in the greatest of films and TV shows...in the end I have to just take it for what its worth, and enjoy it the best I can...which is exactly what I did with ROC, and TF, and ROTF. When all is said and done good or bad I got to watch a movie based on things I enjoy, and didn't have to pay $10 a ticket to see something like 'The Lake House' or 'Catch & Release' or 'The Holiday'. Which incidential I have of my own accord seen 'Catch & Release' and 'The Holiday' on cable both weren't as terrible as you might think. Yeah there chick flicks but with my insomnia one watches what one can find on. Last edited by Owner of a Lonely B.A.T.; 02-27-2011 at 03:52 AM.. |

And regardless of what you think ROC was a horrible film.

I don't understand why ppl who "love" ROC come into threads that are clearly anti-ROC and I also would love to know what movies these ppl consider bad, if ROC was considered good. Also compare the reboot of Incredible Hulk 134.8 million 2008 in ticket sales US. Finshed 15th that year. The Numbers - Annual Movie Chart for Year 2008 RoC 150.2 million 2009 in ticket sales US. Finished 17th in 2009. The Numbers - Annual Movie Chart for Year 2009 Just putting some facts to the fire is all. Edit: Also looking over the list of movies behind RoC in ticket sales, there were quite a few real good films that year that did much much worse.
