But it does become a legitimate point of contention when this poll is used to say that RoC was a good movie, and that fans of RoC have clearly "one".
No, it's not. This poll asks that question, but that's never been the heart of the debate. It's not a gradual devolvement. It was my contention way back in the previous two debate threads. Yeah, less than half is a great approval number... Then you should probably avoid internet forums. Is that a straw succesfully grasped? So let me get this straight, it's never been about whether or not the movie was enjoyable, it's always been about whether or not the movie was "good"? So if the writing was better, the casting was better, the effects were better, the direction was better, and the changes made to the mythos weren't in place you still wouldn't have enjoyed the movie? I don't feel like I have to justify why I did because I'm content with my enjoyment. You aren't satisfied with not enjoying the movie so you feel like you need to justify your position by saying the movie wasn't "good". It's not a good movie that 75% of the people on the Tank liked. The vocal minority is doing a good job complaining in order to stand up to the silent majority content with their satisfaction. |

I wrote "one" instead of "won", so I guess that makes me wrong?

Classified, I have to agree with you........ I have said it a million times but here goes again:
I enjoyed ROC but it was not a great movie. Now the problem is this...... those that hated the film feel that I need for it to have been great in order for my enjoyment to have merit. It does not. I will use the Dollar burger again. I enjoyed eating it...... it was exactly what I expected and i enjoyed it ...... hell I might even say I liked it but it was not great! Now an Angus beef burger from Wolfgang Pucks is a Great burger....... and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Liking a movie does not equate to being great or having to be great. I am sure someone is going to dissagree, so have at it! |

He didn't enjoy the movie and is justifying his opinion by saying that the movie wasn't good. Kind of like your previous post about people willing to settle for garbage, remember? So I guess you share a more refined taste, you're able to discern quality better than the rest of us commoners, eh? I'll start polls till the cow's come home as long as it continues to entertain me, unlike the majority of movies you attend. Does it bother you that I probably frequent the movies less than you but walk away with a more satisfying experience? |

You assume to know what my tastes are. They're all over the place, but RoC was beneath even my low standards. You're entertained? You come off as angry to me. Nothing bothers me. I'm the Headman! Jesus, read some of my posts now and then so you know how to put what I say in context. Now if you'll excuse me, my team needs me. Mods. Rocky is trolling again. |

That was cold. I think the Mods are smart enough to know that this is our Repertoire. I mean you just joked about giving me Herepes like four posts back!
