I know there's a large overlap of Transformer and GI Joe fans, but I've never been one. No knock on Transformers as a brand, I honestly don't know enough about Transformers to judge it.

Apparently they couldn't get the Snake Eyes origin story right (I never saw the Snake Eyes movie, I'm relying on trusted fan testimony), so, I've lost all interest in GI Joe in movie form. If they cannot successfully adapt the Snake Eyes origin, the deepest and most compelling story in GI Joe, than (my) hope is lost.
