What happened to Dr Minbender in G.I.joe rise of Cobra

Did dr minbender died in the explosion? or did he survived like rex or did he escape underground. I think he should have been in retaliation.

I think he survived and taught Rex everything he knows... then he was killed..I mean how much could Rex have learned from the stuff he got from the downloads

The third movie was supposed to have the Crimson Twins as the main antagonists, along with a resurrected Duke taking-on the mantle of Serpentor.

The explosion opened a multiverse gateway. He ended up in a buried freighter in the Marvel-verse. So, yeah he's dead. Well, until his clone comes in to play.
