I forgot all about that thing and had to look it up. I prefer planes with clear cockpits, still looks like it would have been a good addition to the Joe vehicles. If that had been released first instead of the ROC GI Joe Pit it would have sold way better than the Pit. I remember the Pits clogging shelves in my local Toys R Us for a year after ROC hit theaters.

By realistic, do you mean more detailed or more militarily accurate? The ROC line did reuse parts from the 25th line.

The arctic underwater base was my favorite part and the Pit was interesting enough. Dennis Quaid and Chris Eccleston were wasted but Rachel Nichols looked good (better than Baroness).

I re-watched ROC last night. It's definitely an homage to Sunbow but the biggest problem I noticed was the lack of chemistry between the whole cast. Too many individual "names" without the feeling of an ensemble. MB's Armageddon balanced some huge names and still presented an ensemble story. The one-liners in ROC didn't land well either. Brendan Fraser could deliver a one-liner throughout the entirety of SS's Mummy franchise. The sets and gadgetry felt Sunbow but the characterizations were too different when they didn't need to be. But, the acting was better here than in Retaliation. The constant shortening of code names was irritating to me, too. It's like the "stars" had a collective bug up their butts that they couldn't be cool and use their code names. But, off-topic, when Gen. Colton's "friends" show up in the third act's battle in Retaliation, I tell myself he and they are a nod to the Adventure Team (despite the disconnect in the toylines).

This would be bad. The next JOE film should focus on the cloak-and-dagger aspects of the property. If this was done the shinobis in G.I. JOE could be modernized and effectively utilized.
