I think he was playing around on the whole "Shades of Blue thing" so I wouldn't look too deeply into his statement. As for this back and forth bickering of the never ending thread...at this point I don't think either side can unequivocally state that ROC was a "Flop" or a "Hit".
From the magazines, articles and websites I have read the same conclusion seems to be generated over and over. This conclusion has been summed up with the following words, "Underperformed expectations". What makes these two words so interesting is that I find two factors at work. 1) Everyone was hoping for a Transformers sized hit and that ... Nobody was expecting a Transformers type hit...... you lost me after that ridiculous statement...lol If I lost you after that statement I think the rest of this argument is going to be pointless regardless of who it comes from. Shall I define the term "hit"? Or was it the word "that" that confused you so? |

Well, since the whole PhD I was referring to didn't come from you but your Qwe maybe you need to re-read yourself as you sir would be wrong. Don't be a schmucko to the people who have your back. I was referring to Qwe trying to have a funny about the whole "Shades of Blue" thing and hiim having a Fine Arts Ph.d which I found amusing and I was assuming he meant to joke as opposed to being pretentious which is how it was taken.
God-damn if people around here don't try to pick a fight over the definition of the word "the". So please Backdafucup as Onyx would say and take a pill or something so we can have a nice conversation instead of repeating the same BS nonsensical "how dare you routine". Now, back to fun stuff... My post was simply saying that if you were referring to me being wrong then I was correcting you....good lord all I wrote was "You would be wrong........Troynos knows what I meant" hardly controversial and or mean! Especially as you did not say who you were talking about. So why don't you take a walk around your trailer calm down and act civil! I said nothing for you to blow up that way partna' now on to fun stuff........ Side-note: Don't really kick the dog or slap the wife........... I joke, I joke, I kid, I kid! |

Yes,I understood your point,it just seamed that you we're implying that you we're some type of expert in the color blue because of your masters degree in fine art or whatever,my 2 year old can point out the color blue. The point I was trying to make was,a degree doesnt make someone an expert at something,it only qualifies them to do someething and sometime its as useful as a blank sheet of paper,a degree doesnt promiss expertise nor does it even promiss employment in that paticular field. Im not trying to make a big deal about it,Im just explaining where I was coming from.

[QUOTE=Boombatty;1016847]I wrote LOL as I was teasing..... Have you not read all the pages or did you just jump into the conversation. I have firmly believed that they were expecting a Transformers type hit and even though I know I am wrong I have stuck to my guns. No comprendo?

ROC is easily going to make around $100,000,000 on dvd sales if the pattern of past movies box office performances and dvd sales holds true, and there isn't any reason to believe ROC is going to be the exception to the pattern.
it's probably good for another $20 million worldwide box office, and another $100 million with home video sales, to gross $390 million. not to mention it was stated elsewhere that Paramount gets a cut of action figure sales too (which would account for the astronomical price of the toys), so the movie is going to make money for them. |
