Nevermind that when we were kids we probably didn't pay a lick of attention to who was actually writing the books (I know I didn't until I was in my teens or so). Nevermind that it was probably our parents' money that was buying those Joe comics and not our own. Nevermind that he didn't exactly do a whole lot of Joe work from 1994 to 2009 (A couple mini-series and the occasional one-shot, from what I can recall). Nevermind that he's doing Joe work now for IDW that differentiates quite a bit from RoC. |

I learned my lesson with The Rise of Cobra, I won't be seeing the next one.

A darker themed GIJoe was made... It was called Resolute. There needs to be a bridge between realism and fantasy. Resolute did that very well. ROC just went full on fantasy with no respect for the character's history. Hama needs to be involved the new Joe film.
Drop the international team aspect and get back to what GI Joe is... Real American Heroes. GI is the term for American military troops. Cut out all this PC crapola and let's make a kick ass military themed flick with some fantasy elements thrown in for fun and toy sales. |

you didn't make him anything. for crying out loud. Hama got the job because of his abilities and willingness to do it. besides, the toyline drove the success of the comic and cartoon, and that was dictated first and foremost by the toy designs, something Hama had nothing to do with.
I'm sure Larry Hama is going to lose sleep because a few people he insulted were actually....insulted. lost respect for him. that's laughable. you guys keep topping yourselves in ridiculous positions. man ok so if someone said something insult you wouldnt get insulted. thats kind of rude of you to say that man. we have a right to our thoughts and feelings on things. yes i was insulted by that. im sorry it was very wrong of him to say. just like the guy who said he should die. that was very wrong. |

I just find it silly that people would declare that he lost their respect, as if that respect was something he was trying to garner. clearly it isn't, hence why he has no qualms about insulting you. |

You're not the only ones who "made him something" though. There's plenty of us out there, both who enjoyed RoC and who didn't, who just aren't as codependently attached to the ARAH mythology but when we were children supported his endeavors just as much as you. Larry Hama just shares our beliefs more than yours.

I wasn't too impressed by Channing Tatum's screen presence. Even though I love the Duke character I'd love to see a new leading man as Flint come in to replace him.

worst actor in the movie. he was laughably bad. in the beginning, I didn't know if he was ordering ATTENTION! or if he sneezed.

and if G.I. Joe would have ended sooner, he would have just moved on to something else, like he did when it ended. this wasn't a guy absent of other opportunities, or desperate to hold on to G.I. Joe. they kept paying him, so he kept writing it.
