Hopefully only those who've seen the movie will respond:
Changing CC's mask and overall appearance was one of the most controversial aspects of the film, and topped the list of complaints in nearly every fan-written preview that I read. So, for those who have seen the movie, do you hope Paramount and Hasbro stick with their "re-imagining" of CC or would you prefer that he sport a more recognizable look in future films? |

Stephen Sommers has said he wants to use the original Silver mask in the sequel
I really liked Cobra Commander himself, but the mask has to go in my opinion. Thankfully it was in the movie only very briefly. |

I think if its made into a trilogy, well..i think it would be sweet.
He would have a different mask in the second film, But it would be sweet, that if at the end of the film he got his ass kicked or something and broke his mask, then puts on the mirror mask, shortly before sounding a "RETREAT!" |

I like the new mask in the respect that anyone with some bubble wrap can make a quick and easy CC mask for Halloween this year.

How about a 3rd choice? Some where in between.
Like I just posted in the main review thread: I don't think it's a leap to go from the RoC look to the traditional helmet and chrome. I just don't know how the chrome will play off on-screen. I think we'll end up with something in the middle. I'd also like to see how the RoC mask looks with a helmet. I think the thing that really doesn't work for me is the lack of a helmet. It looks unfinished. Put a traditional helmet on it and we're pretty close to the traditional look.

I think with a bit of modification to the mask, coloring the the mask silver instead of clear and put on a helmet it is similar to the one Fred VII wore in the comics. I prefer the original mask but I'd be happy with the Fred VII mask.

Overall I found myself okay with the way he looked by the end of this movie the mask looked pretty cool afterall. However I hope Summers goes with the more traditional look for the sequel with the mirror mask and the dictator type of look he has in the comics. After all this was only the rise of cobra so not all the kinks are out of the plan yet.

whats crazy is i was pissed that they changed his look but i got use to it when the ROC figure was released and i learned to deal with it
then i watched the movie and i loved Dr.Rexs Look and i feel now like i wish they woulda stuck with that look for CC i really liked the Rex Character the most out of the whole Cast in the movie his look, voice and acting was on point for a villian now when CC put the new mask at the end i didnt have enuff time to know if i hated it yet to the degree that i cant stand it one thing i liked was how his voice sounded when he put the new mask on i think its obvious if they do a part 2 hes gonna have the new mask on
