I would agree that the GI Joe movie was better overall.

There's always room for improvement!
That being said, I loved Rise of Cobra, could it be better? Of course! But for what was made, I think was very acceptable and appropriate for any general audience. |

I love the movie myself but I also liked Resolute. And I have to say after watching the movie for a third time(twice at the theater and once on BR) I like the molded face on Snake Eye's mask. I mean it almost lets you see his face without seeing it. I really have no problems with them movie or the toys. As for Resolute I really like it but I don't think it's better than ROC. I also don't think it's the definitive(spelling) G.I. Joe like some people claim it is. I like some of the Character designs. And I really wouldn't mind seeing them continue the story through more DTV DVD/BR releases. I like them both but if I had to just pick one it would be ROC.

I was personally very pleased with the film. Sure, I would like to have seen the classic (or "updated" versions of the classic) uniforms, and I would have preferred that Duke and Baroness not have a previous relationship, but overall I was very satisfied with the film. It was big, loud, colorful, funny, over-the-top, and fun, and that's exactly what I expect from and want out of G.I. Joe. Watching the movie, it felt like somebody had taken the cartoon and put it through a machine that turned into live-action. Despite cosmetic changes and playing around with a few details here and there, it perfectly captured the spirit and style of G.I. Joe. It really made me feel like a kid all over again.
I can't wait to grab the DVD, possibly making it my first Blu-Ray purchase. |

I liked it.
Just got done watching my DVD for the 3rd time. It's a fun flick with plenty of little nods to the old stuff and some new mythology to take with you for the future of the franchise. |

I just watched it again on dvd last night. Still entertaining. There were a couple of new things I picked up on. 1 thing that comes to mind. Towards the end, Hawk is giving out orders from the PITT. And what I noticed was Hawk was dressed more in his 80's vintage colors....Brown leather jacket and green BDU pants. I thought that was really cool since I'm a Hawk fan.

Yeah, I enjoyed it more watching it the 2nd and 3rd times. I tend to critically destroy movies the first time I watch them, then ease back and watch them with an open mind the next time.
Still, there were many things that could have been done better, and would not have been difficult to fix. |

I loved watching ROC on Blu-ray, I enjoyed it more than when I watched it at the cinema. Little things that annoyed me the first time didn't bother me this time.
I also watched Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen on Blu-ray on the same day and for me there is no comparison, ROC blows ROTF out of the water! Much more interesting and fun to watch. |
