Thanks to Destro at comic con providing new pictures we see an ARAH Grand Slam with the new GI Joe ROC logo on his chest and we see ARAH figures packaged with vehicles in ROC packs that have/are coming out. Therefor, the evidence suggest that ARAH and its original history in comics and cartoon has been erased/replaced thanks to ROC and its storyline. By the way its is interesting in the Q&A forum when Hasbro was speaking about the new ROC Flash figure they refer to ROC as a "Fantasy". What's your take on this?

The symbol will probably come off easily enough, and voila! ARAH Grand Slam.

ARAH was already erased.
By Sgt Savage then G.I.Joe Extreme and 12" military, which had already been "erased" by Adventure Team and ARAH. Somebody flipped the pencil over and drew ARAH again, in the form of JvC and it's subsequent lines. Then Sigma 6 erased it again! Then 25th erased Sigma Six. It did kind of interrupt a cool line that we found pretty exciting, but that's just how the timing ended up. It's disappointing, but in many ways the film compliments the 25th line in the way that it includes offscreen RAH characters(some better than others) and it's hard to say that we would have necessarily seen some of these vintage style molds at SDCC without a huge film launched line to support that much plastic! I agree to the extent that I'm disappointed 25ty isn't the focus, but there's some fun retro stuff to be found. |

second; yes it is a shame that we die-hard arah locals aren't getting (currently) more of the styled figs we have wanted AND had hoped for. however...stay with me...i do not feel that roc is erasing anything. it can't. the history is set. hasbro is expanding the brand. and whether you realize it or not you WANT hasbro to expand the brand. the more money they can make will help fuel arah projects that were put on the back burner/and or scuttled. sure, hasbro has said that arah figs will be expressed utilizing roc styling and such but really...do we honestly think they aren't going to sneak in some more arah designed seven packs here and there? it's a simple concept. adapt or die. hasbro has adapted the brand to attract a new following. it's no different than the happenings prior to the '82 first series arah release. hasbro decided to change the scale of the figs from 12 inches to 3.75. the original 12 inch (now known as 1/6th scale) gi joe fig has never gone away. in fact, who could argue that sideshow's recent offerings are not a harkening back the brands origin. and the sideshow figs do so by utilizing arah identities! EVERYTHING that was established with arah has made this new film possible. in my humble opinion all fans should support it (not saying anyone doesn't, so don't flame the hell out of me). whether you are an original old school 12", arah, or new school roc fan, we are all brand evangelists. support your brand. get what you want. |

the arah line will always live on in the hearts of the die-hard fans who have been there since the very beginning.i'm sure that once the movie is out and hasbro see's how much money they are making on the toy line then they may give us more classic figures.just be patient and things will show down the road.
