Are we talking about Romero zombies... or the more widely and super well known Lanard space insect zombies?

Yes. Far too many needless character changes / story changes / changes in general that weren't needed. No wonder it failed - that and no G.I.JOE product being freely available and marketed at the time on shelves, on tv, in comics etc. It was a real mess. The sequel was just as bad. And now we have a Snake Eyes film...I doubt I'll be watching that either. Why Hollywood think its okay to ruin what actually works is really down to their egos - they want to put their (ill advised) mark on things. Look at the MOTU mooted movie - apparently, Skeletor will be He Man's elder Brother as opposed to his Uncle in the established mythos...

We need to find Kevin Feige's equivalent when it comes to G.I. Joe. Someone who understands the property, as well as the movie business.
Hopefully, the Snake Eyes movie will be watchable. If not, and most importantly, the figures/vehicles had better be cool. |
