I do that all the time. I may be an adult now, but nothing has changed.

I do. Most often only 2 or three at a time, though...
while I'm working or designing something usually. It adds a nice zen quality to my work environment. Kind of keeps me from going crazy about missed deadlines and other errors coming from others, ya know? Dramatic Example: "Hi Cody (which is my real name) Our art department totally wrecked that awesome sample you sent us, so we'll need you to send it again and we'll be sure to bill you twice for your trouble." -Scarlett nails storm shadow in the face with the butt of her rifle- (and thusly stopping the explitives about to erupt from my mouth) "Shawna (her real name) I understand you're in business to make money but altering our agreed upon arrangement by introducing an art department that I'd never heard of until you yourself just admitted that they screwed the pooch by attempting to fix something that wasn't broken isn't a good way to make it. From my perspective, I'm not understanding how I'm being charged an art fee once...much less twice. I sent you a finished product, and we discussed how well it turned out last thursday." You're right, Cody. I apologize. I forgot all about that. I'll make it right when you send me the new one. I won't even send it over there this time. Thanks for being cool about it. "hey, no problem shawna. you have a good day." -Storm shadow recovers, making it to his 'stapler base' safe zone- |

This makes me think of one of the reasons I allowed myself to get sucked into collecting Joes again. I, too, seem to have lost that imaginative ability to play with them anymore. So I want to experiment (with myself as the subject) to better understand creative thought, and maybe a bit more on the brain's evolution and maybe how to tap the creative mind. Any psychologists out there with theories?

Heck yes I play! When I have time that is. With a movie line I try and get as much "play time" in as I can before the movie comes out, since once it does I have a hard time rewriting the canon for it in my head. I'm wierd that way.
As far as story lines, right now Scarlet and SE are infiltrating a known Cobra front with HD providing outside support and surveillance. Meanwhile, Cobra attempted to board a Joe sub for unknown reasons. Shipwreck managed to hold off Cobra long enough to allow the crew to escape and he escaped as he scuttled the ship. He then hooked up with Duke and is en route to the cobra front since HD has lost contact with Scarlett and SE. Havne't figured out where I'm going after that, LOL. |

Yeah My 6 year old daughter and I have begun having adventures together. She takes her polly pocket princesses and I have cobra forces attempt to abduct them and demand their father the king abdicate the throne. Then G.I. Joe comes in with the Pitt and Kicks A$$... The polly pockets aren't really helpful during the firefights though...
Oh Well it usually kills a hour or so and that is one less hour of Hannah Montana or The Suite Life (Shudder.....) |

In still have my Joe's manning the rocket launchers from the resolute set (6 launchers) and 2 RoC launchers (Sgt Stone and Breaker) on my top shelf, aiming at the mass device, PoD cubes (3 out of 4 I have...still looking for a fourth!).
My 8 RoC joe's and a custom or 2 are in 2 steel crushers. The Rockslide has Snowjob , Frostbite (used zartan's roc head on frostbite body due to his cheeks look frostbitten), and unknown arctic trooper also with frostbite's body but ripper's head and roc zartan's gun. The armored panther is looking for a mate since I cannibalized Thunderblast for the web gear, hands, and legs. I have desert duke there looking for more desert troops to fit it. As for Cobra, too much to mention except for the TRU red SRO CC, Roc destro, roc pit baroness (with 4 nanomite prototypes in the briefcase) and my fave cobra fig of all time, a Crimson Neo-Viper with his pike guarding CC. |

I don't play with my ARAH updated 25th figs because I have them all nicely displayed in their cool poses and I don't want to mess them up. ROC figures are a different matter however, we shall have to see with them. LOL.

i write movie scripts, paint, draw, sculpt, animate, design video game maps, make music, make masks.. gi joes are tangible and serve as a muse. great for customising, imagining action sequences, thinking of creative things... i have alot of wierd masked demonic sword guy customs and monsters... if i didnt have gijoes and toys to fiddle around with i wouldnt be nearly as creative. also i smoke hallucinogens. ;) |
