I understand why so many people are pissed at the movie in general, and are still upset about the hiatus of modern era. Belive me, I am too, but the movie figures really aren't that bad. New sculpts, new vehicles, some new characters (ex Helix), why are people still pissed. They fit right in with the modern era figs for cryin out loud.

Totally agree. I'm really warming up to these figures. Plus the box art, presentation and accessories really give you your money's worth.

I don't mind the vehicles, even though I seriously dislike some of the decal and color choices. However, I really don't care for the figures. To me they range from dull to ugly as hell. And Helix looks better suited for the X-Men than GI Joe.

At first I thought this thread was a joke. I am not here to bash as we all have our own concept of what GI Joe should look like. However, I disagree completely!
Here's a list of figures that I have not purchased yet and will pass on every time: Baroness -what a disappointment. This figure is hideous! Cobra Commander - looks just as horrible on the peg as it has for months online. This will, by far, be the worst part of ROC. Turtle Viper - That is all I can call it. Not neo viper. Horrific. Zartan - I have EVERYTHING ever made as Zartan. My favorite character... looks awful. I can't believe I passed. Breaker - Come on! You really can't like this abomination?!?!?! Rip Cord - For all that is wrong with the universe Rip Cord (Accellerator Suit) - Same as above Duke (accellerator Suit) - Same as above Scarlett (Camo) - I will hold off until I want to customize my Axl Rose figure. (Can anyone part with a roddy piper kilt?) Sgt Stone - Hell No! F-Brenden Frasier Storm Shadow - I don't want a Matrix Rabbit Twin Storm Shadow (Paris Pursuit) - Same as above Hawk - Looks too much like Flint. Drives me nuts Cover Girl - Looks hideous! I want to thank HASBRO for allowing me to overcome my addiction to GI JOE products by putting out crappy figures that allowed me to lose the urge to purchase as well as for jacking up prices so high that I no-longer see the value in buying it. Have a nice life Hasbro. I am slowly losing my love for you. It started with Star Wars. Now it has moved over to GI Joe. Soon I will be free to walk away! (I'm sure the ROC movie will probably be the nail on the coffin). I will always be a GI JOE fan but maybe not an active collector of EVERY SINGLE item. It is a huge shift to only buying a couple of pieces you like. There are some good figures in this wave: Paris Pursuit SE Elite Viper Cobra Eel Destro Let's see what the rest of '09 brings us. DD

I've always liked the figures from all the pic's and now that I have some in hand, they don't dissapoint. The figures look great as characters outsdie the Joe verse, which is what I have been wanting for a long time. Rip Cord looks great, PP Snake Eyes looks great, and toally digging Reactive Armor HD, Duke, and Scarlett.
