What so wrong with sticking to the comic book material that made GI Joe explode to begin with? And this is common with other comic book movies, the movie execs are always wanting to steer clear of the comic book material and come up with bullshit. And most times, those movies are utter disappointments. And then when you have movies that are closer to the comic book material, most times they are great hits! Are there copyright issues they have to battle if they stick to close to the source material?
