It's an AWESOME figure. One of my favorites so far. I love that they actually made an arctic figure the way they seriously are, big and bulky. It's the arctic, staying warm is top priority and the uniforms have to wear are pretty damn bulky.
As for the red stripe, it's a sensor visor and the red stripe indicated that. Chances are it's a infrared/heat detecting sensor. Don't you people have any imagination?

For the Ice Viper, it's not that it doesn't make logical sense, it just results in a ridiculously clunky-looking figure. |

Love it love it love it. Easily my fave ROC figure, red stripe and all ( i think it looks cool). As for the 'bulkiness' - it looks like this guy's actually ready for the arctic. The only down side is the lack of paint under the visor (eyes), but if you're a customizer that's a 60-second fix.

Ninja or not, you're not going to wear normal Ninja-like attire in an extreme cold enviroment. So yes, artic SS makes no sense at all. However, it is Hollywood after all.

Don't you people have any imagination? figs... the trim... which normally would be cotton or fur for us real people... looks like cake frosting. do i expect them to make 'real trim you can touch' etc... no. but that shit on his collar looks edible.
