I agree. The card art is pretty good. There's some that aren't that good, much like there was some that wasn't that good in the 25th/ME cards.
But I like the more realistic art of RoC overall.

I do like the character art on the cards. Not the whole package though. Seems that it would have been a better "tactic" on the part of Hasbro to put them in somewhat more retro-styled packaging. Take the classic/modern 25th black cards, add the movie logo, green explosion behind the characters. BAM! That may have tricked me into keeping some MOC. The entire back of the card should be styled this way too with old school FC's. They def would've sold more to collectors this way IMO.

Loving the card art, I hope Hasbro makes poster size versions of them. I'd buy those!

personally I would have liked ROC card art on a ARAH backing. this is for display purposes only. the art it's self is fantastic and I love the detail. this is also why I'm against facial scanning. you notice the sculpted heads look hella better than the ones where the actors face's were scanned.

Wonder if they got Gregg Horn to do the artwork. I know he did some G.I. Joe artwork a while back and he did all of the covers for the Emma Frost comic books. It kind of looks like his work.

Naw, that's not Horn work (least I don't think it is).
You guys really haven't noticed the similarities in the package design with Marvel Universe, Wolverine Origins and the new Star Wars packaging? It's the same basic card size/shape and bubble layout. Kinda smart on Hasbro's part to use the same thing for all lines to cut down on costs so the price of the figures doesn't go up. I wonder how long before someone comes in and makes a comment about the price should be lower because of the sharing of the package design. Truth is that the price is probably lower because of this.
