First off Thank Mr Chu for making part 3 & part 2 IMO was excellent.

First ROC:
ROC - It wasn't a GI Joe script to begin with (dark Skies) & the Joe/cobra parts really felt pushed in.
Why & I mentioning ROC, Well because like it or not its part of the series, & Mr Chu did a wonderful Job aknowleging it while moving the story on to the next stage.

Retaliation: It did have to aknowlege ROC, He reset the story & opened a lot of doors storywise to launch into future movies. While parts may have suffered from timing edits, (I'm sure they wanted to include more of the AT) generally he did a good job at energizing the series. & I truely believe as ret moves into DVD, HBO etc fans the avoided the film because of ROC will find Joe again.

Part 3 & beyond: Anything is possible & while there has been talk about bringing back THE baroness (She might be a causualty of war if you want her to be the same person as ROC) At this stage The movieverse can build on whatever stories they feel are appropiate. I personally would love to see a large scale Joe battle, with several Joe teams (Something the budget may not have allowed for in ret)

What about him did I like or what about him wasn't Flint?


One of the biggest complaints I heard was that he (retaliation Flint) didn't behave or have a scene that showed him turning into a leader.

Why did that need to be there? Nothing says that Retaliation Flint is ever meant to be a G.I. Joe leader.

I liked Retaliation Flint's fighting style, the parkour aspects.

& far as I can tell the roles for Flint & Roadblock got switched once the Rock signed on. As roadblock was more of the traditional Flint charactor. If they choose to bring back Flint & lady Jay for part 3 we should see something more traditional with their charactors.

Why should we? Nothing in Retaliation showed the Flint character as being groomed or moving into a leader role.

If anything, Retaliation Lady Jaye would be stepping up.

As I said the roles for Roadblock & flint were switched when the Rock signed on. So the story was changed to fit the change. (Common practice in movies) If they bring them back in part 3 (Which is likely) We could see Flint as a team leader (Hopefully one of many teams)

actually just give up period on the joe movie,
