Exactly. An ensemble cast does not require big names; in fact, big, "bankable" names do not necessarily mean a good movie. So far, I can think of good points for every casting decision and I hope they keep up in the same manner.

What he had to say about Marlon Wayans was at least encouraging. I like that he referenced Requiem for a Dream and not Little Man to talk about his acting skills...
When I see costumes, that will be huge. Do they Xmen or Spiderman it?

Sounds promising. I'm glad Ray got the chance to play Snake Eyes. Heres to hoping they keep Storm Shadow accurate to the comic lore-a good guy infiltrating an evil organization to beat the living hell out of the guy who killed his uncle, after finding him of course.

I know a lot of folks don't like Lorenzo or trust his words, but I doubt he's going to bold-face lie about this stuff. I could be wrong, of course, but I have a feeling he's giving us the real deal.
I hope so, as I really like the info he gave.

I hate when these movie people pretend to know what they are talking about. He clearly has NOT read any comics, outlines and summaries prepared for him by lackeys perhaps.
I thought Snake Eyes damaged his vocal cords, what's this about a vow of silence? He doesn't seem to understand the question regarding 'a real american hero'. Strange. This reminds me of the time I went to wondercon a few years back when the fantastic four movie was about to come out. Julian Mcmahn (misspelled), who played a part named Dr. Doom (which turned out to be NOT doom) came on stage with Joel Silver to take questions from the crowd. Julian started off by saying how he has always been a big fan of the comic book and is very familiar with it. One of the first questions was "will galactus be in the film?" Julian furrowed his brow, Silver motions for him to lean in so he can whisper in his ear. After this Julian smiles and says "No, galacticus (how he pronounced) is not in the film." This was after filming the movie mind you. If not for Ray Park...... |

Hello,
First off, The Pit was secret at first. We knew of it's location as "the reader" but it (from my memory) was intended to be secret to the normal person. I even did a little Web search and got this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pit_%28G.I._Joe%29 So, all this really proves is.... this is what they read to get the answers to the questions needed for the fans. I understand that you can't expect a producer who works on 56,000 movies a year to have the details on every single thing they work on. But I am happy that they look into it enough and seem to use "fans" to help create stories. We are just so ready to attack if a detail is botched. Meanwhile, Spidermans web came out of his wrists and not a web cartridge and it worked out just fine. Second, I gotta say I am pleased with the cast they have drummed up. I just hope they don't use some idiot for Cobra Commander. When he said Viggo will play someone I just about pushed out a brick in my shorts thinking how cool it would be if ol' Snakes was played by such an AMAZING Actor. Anyone seen The Prophecy when Viggo was Satan? I see the Commander in him Bigtime. I gotta say He even rivals my first choice...Gary Oldman. But I understand, They gotta keep em young. I can't wait till my first movie news site posts a link to the first GI Joe teaser. I think I will send out more Emails to friends that day then ever. I went to ComicCon 2005 and Saw Ray Park talk. He is just a down to earth kind of guy.I'm glad he got the part. Not to mention Siena Miller is smokin hot! =COBRACOFFEE |
