hrm?
AICN isn't exactly reliable either, except when an actual interview is conducted. I'll bet Wayans is Stalker. That kid can not play Duke. When I hear things like that, I seriously have to wonder how some people's minds work. No offense. It just seems so fantastically wrong to me I can't fathom anyone drawing that conclusion and being happy about it. It's also very possible that the "source" at Paramount who responded, "WILL NOT be playing no "Ripcord" dude" was being sarcastic when he said CC. Try again guys.

i also highly doubt that this film will take place 10yrs into the future, for one good reason...all the actors they have hired so far are, for the most part, relitivly young...subtracting ten yrs from some of them makes them teenagers

The only thing that concerns me is the that despite the fact that they've said the brussels rumor is bogus that of the castings thus far, only one of those listed on imdb is american-born. Granted Snake Eyes doesn't matter, and Storm Shadow probably should be Korean and will likely side with cobra anyhow, but it just makes me a bit uneasy.

I don't believe it. Thats got to be wrong. No way that is right.
If he has been cast it is not as the leader. He might be ripcord but I doubt he will be filling Duke's/Hawk's shoes anytime soon. On a lus note Joseph Gordon Levitt is freaking badass and he could be pretty sweet.

I doubt he is in the movie especially ripcord who is white but not even Stalker if he was in movie maybe a cameo meant to lighten a part of the movie at most.

I only have two things to say here:
1. Watch the language guys 2. How many times has Variety been wrong already? I'll believe something Variety reports once I see it with my own eyes |

ACTION. MAN. if you look really, really hard, you might still find action man figures at the toystore graveyard KayBee. |

I don't think there is any doubt that this is nonsense, seems more like a rumor started by hopeful participants, and the reason is simple.
Hasbro has complete control of the movie and dictates what characters will be in it. for the last 7 years they have force fed us Duke as the leader of G.I. Joe, and now at arguably the most pivotal juncture of the brand's history they not only have decided that G.I. Joe needs a new leader but decided to make him an obscure character they haven't made a figure for in, what, 20 years, and didn't even see fit to make during the Spy Troops line for a figure design that was based on his comic incarnation, opting instead for Sgt. Airborne when they ran into trademark issues. yeah, that sounds like a move Hasbro would make for the brand. |
