Same. Had me smiling the whole way through, just seeing that wonderful Cobra logo in a live action G.I. Joe movie being plastered everywhere.
I don't get how it could be any more cheesy or lame than any other military battle cry. |

I predict he will be, and controlled by Cobra.

I think I would have honestly Cringed myself to death if they all shouted "YOOOOOOOOOOOOO JOE"! before dropping out of helicopter thing.
Also basically this is an Action/Army movie and we can see that most of the time they try to keep things modern-military. |

Roadblock kept saying "Hell yeah" as his battle cry, and the Joes frequently used the Army's "Hoo ah" cry as well.
I kept waiting to hear it, and not even once was it used. Despite the problems ROC had, I loved hearing them yell "Yo Joe!". Different branches of military have their own battle cries, it's not ridiculous for G.I. Joe to have theirs. |

On the other hand, many would think it's fun. I know I would. I think people worry too much about what's "cool".

They found his dog tags folks. Either they found a body (and quite frankly, the guy Rock pulled the tags of of -did- look like Tatum to me, even if the wrong weapon was sitting next to him), or he was blown into so many itty bitty pieces that there wasn't enough body to recover.
Duke is dead, dead, Deadski. If he were intended to be alive, they would've given a hint to it in the movie, even if just a "sequel stinger." It'd stretch suspension of disbelief to the breaking point to bring him back now. It's the same reason most comic-book movies aren't in the habit of bringing back "dead" villains except in flashback. Comic book readers accept that stuff...general audiences? Not so much. Besides, it's very much up in the air as to whether we get a sequel or not. As for "Yo Joe" I'm afraid it may well have ended up sounding really cheesy right when they were going for some degree of "reality" with the military stuff. |

Maybe not a full-on warcry, but I could have seen Duke and Roadblock fist bumping with a 'Yo Joe' interchange before they drop into that first battle. Might have taken some of the cheese out of it.
