While it's nice to see another positive review, I generally find Harry Knowles to be a joke when it comes to movie reviewing.

Harry basically tends to be a big-time shill. He justifies it as "I really just -love- movies, man!" but it's somewhat telling that any movie that's known to have treated him well during production (set visits, interviews, etc...) tends to get a positive (often glowingly so) review.

About the only time he doles out negative reviews is when he knows the fan-backlash on a film is already so strong that giving it a good review might hurt his readership/hit count, and even then he tends to "softball" it.

I just don't find him credible. I know he has a following and that he's a "big name" as far as internet movie reviewers go (arguably the guy that really got that ball rolling), but he's just a little -too- enthusiastic and positive about nearly everything for my tastes.

I think that we should be happy that Retaliation is getting reviews at all. I think it means that Paramount has faith in this being a decent movie, hence the pre-release screenings.
