The only thing that is both troubling and makes me doubt all these "screeners" is that they never mention Mouse. We know he is in the movie; we know he has a large role; I've never heard a mention of the character in a review. Nothing any of these guys have said since the first comments came out has been unique. No remarkable spoilers, nothing one might get the gist of from the trailers. Nothing new. I'm not saying the guy is a liar but he could have slept through the screener, read online the next morning and done the interview. I'm not defending a movie I haven't seen, but rather suggesting this guy offered nothing new.

Reshooting would mean more they'd need to invest another $10-45 million for reshoots and maybe recasting as well. Bruce Willis seems to have been added for the sole purpose of face value to make up for impotency of the script filmed movie.
Dont forget that Rise of Cobra's budget was $175 million while Retaliation's budget was $125 million so it was always a lower budged movie which many appear to not realize. Tatum was probably just obligated under contract to appear in a sequel and it was a pay check to him, so killing him off is very believable by the screen writers and director. With the other actors/cast of ROC the studio/producers saved money but not aksing them back and let them go. They may of finished the movie, then figured it was shit and asked The Rock if knew anybody like Arnold or such if they would have a role in the movie, the The rock was probably like yeah, Bruce Willis so they added him in. The Ninja battles also appear to have no part in the movie, just an after thought add-on like Willis to add something to the lackluster movie and keep the action going. The reports at AICN appear to also make this clear which many suspected. |

Duke is what he is. He has been the face of the franchise since he was introduced. They picked Tatum and continuity would have worked best. The Rock is a big star playing a supporting character. It would have been like getting Tom Cruise to play Robin in the Batman movies. GI JOE had potential. Resolute showed how it could work as a serious action story. Whoever runs this franchise obviously knows nothing about GI Joe. Too much Snakeyes does not work! Too many ninjas does not work! CC needs Destro and Baroness to have balance. Roadblock SE Flint need Duke! The last thing I will say is this...How in the hell can you not find a good story for these characters when little kids have been coming up with great stories in back yards for over 30 years!

That´s what I thought, that Duke may reappear at some point of the movie.

i don't think we will ever truly know why it was delayed. cause they will NEVER come out and say they delayed it cause battleship (hasbro) bombed and they didn't want to compete with spiderman and TDKR. it's just the 3D bull crap & channing tatum crap.
i'm still trying to find some RELIABLE source about the test screenings |

i'm still trying to find some RELIABLE source about the test screenings I'm wondering if Paramount is either this indecisive or they figure that since a movie is shot and looks like it will flop, think that if they can put the 3D gimmick on it they might be able to recoup some of the money they put into it?
