How dare you start this thread. Don't you know that the costume designer has nothing to do with the costumes? lol. Get over yourself and move on. Ain't that great feedback?
In all seriousness, thanks for the thread. It's interesting to me that sommers might not hold all of the blame. Still, I'll say he gets the lion's share in my opinion. Oh, and move on? Get over yourself? lol.

I liked a lot of the RoC designs. They gave us some very cool action figures that may not be "our" Joes but can easily fit into anyone's "Joe-verse" as a separate faction (or factions if you include the bad guys).
The Reactive Impact Armor looked cool on the figures, both in complete suits and partials. And yes, I thought even the accelerator suits made for some cool action figures. Paris Pursuit Snake-Eyes was aces. Simple but very effective. Elite Vipers were pretty cool...not as much the rest of the Vipers, still, I got lots of use out of them and the RoC Cobra Commander as "Dr. Venom Reborn" and leading his own new sub-faction of Cobra. As I hinted at above: I know a lot of people didn't like the Joes' camo, but I really dug it because it made it easy to define this as a "new" faction in my Joe-verse. The only guy that became a problem was Snake-Eyes and well...thankfully he was the one that wasn't in the blue camo, so...it all worked out pretty well, I'd say. |

So she's the one to blame for this?
I need to thank her! |

Geez...
If she's the one, i'd like to thank her for Reactive Impact Armor, Baroness's outfit, Storm Shadow's look, Rex's outfit, etc... Some of us LIKED the RoC stylings. I'm glad they are moving away from it with the sequel, so we can have ANOTHER UNIQUE LINE OF FIGURES. Change is nice. Because if you don't like it, it will change again, into something you may like. But if it never changes, it's boring. |

I loved the RIA.
I loved the Doctor's mask/outfit. I loved the Cobra (or rather MARS) Neo-Vipers. I loved Storm Shadow's outfit. And I'm one of the few who loved CC's mask/helmet. It was different. Different is refreshing and brings something new to the table. Just like the stuff in Retaliation is new and refreshing (personally I love Snake Eyes' new look). People need to calm down. By the way, what exactly is the point of this thread? Just posting her IMDB page for no reason? |

I glad I'm not the only one. The RIA suits led me to incorporate the Tron: Legacy figures as Cobra's version of power suits. But as was pointed out previously, when scaled down to 3.75" some of the designs looked aweful (Neo Vipers and CC helmet for instance). |
