I walked into my local Toys R Us here in Ontario Canada to find a MARS Trooper 3 Pack...I was sooo excited actually holding it in my hands....then looked at the back and the damn pictures of the movie characters bear little to no resemblance to the figures?! What gives?!
Then I started to look at some of the movie figures and although there hasn't been a ton of stills and I dont have the figures to compare my worry is that when July 11th hits I'll run out and buy the figures spend a crap load of money ONLY to have Hasbro make these figures again down the road...but better...which really pisses me off considering Hasbro are the ones who are making the toys based off of toys that their company made..why would they not have access to the characters and make the figures look EXACTLY like the movie? Just in terms of even body proportions (Duke looks wimpy and skinny as does Snake Eyes..his head is too friggin big and he is wearing combat boots but from what I can see his pants go over his boots) I'm not being picky I just dont want to experience what I experienced with pretty much all the Prequel figures from Star Wars..got so excited they were out, bought them all up and then later realized they made muuuuch better more accurate versions...I guess I'll just have to wait and see and not go on a shopping spree come July 11th...which sucks :( |

i'm learned my lesson when starwars episode 1 came out.
the first wave of figures were terrible. just the worst...but by the second and third wave they really started to get better...I was just beyond caring by that point. I'm not saying the movie figs will be bad, but I don't doubt for a second that they won't get better... oh, and hey there fellow 'tanker from Ont.

Yes, Star Wars has been very much like this in the past where the 1st released figures were by far some of Hasbro's worst efforts.
But the Joe movie does not have the legs to stand on that Star Wars has, to be able to release them many times over in their Movie likenesses, so for many of these figures I feel this will be the one release you see (for certain characters) for this 1st Movie. |

I've seen that a lot of figures for movie toy lines are pretty inaccurate. I think it's because they have to sculpt everything based on still images because the movie isn't released until a certain date and the toy line is started months in advance.
