Aaron Eckhart For Duke. Peroid End of discussion. Check out Battle: LA. He would be an Awesome Duke!!!!!!!!!
If you were going into "Hollywood battle/war", I would follow Aaron Eckhart character from Battle: LA. That one scene where he has the pilot drop him off and tells the rest of the people on the helicopter to get the hell out of there.... That is Duke!!! Another scene where Eckhart jumps off the bus and diverts the Aliens from attacking the bus and plants an explosive near the gas station..... That is Duke. Jon Chu, Aaron Eckhart NEEDS TO PLAY DUKE... That's the Bottom Line!!!! Quote:
The moment I saw Chris Hemsworth playing George Kirk in the Star Trek remake, I knew he was perfect for Duke.
Channing Tatum doesn't have the presence of a First Sergeant and he comes across as cocky and impulsive, not the mature level headed ground commander that Duke should be. For those of you who also dislike Channing Tatum's portrayal of Duke, who would you like to see if the part was recasted? Would you agree that Chris Hemsworth is the best option or do you have someone better in mind? |

BINGO!! if a G.I. Joe live action movie is made, Duke needs to be a seasoned veteran, not some 20 year old. Not sure why people keep saying Duke should not be older, he needs to be younger. Makes No sense!

I say give Channing a break. Better director who is trying to break out with this movie, and clearly is having a great time in pre-production. He cleared house of actors that did not really want to return, so Tatum wants to be in this role. Maybe he will rise to the occasion. Good writing and a good director can make anyone a better actor. Halley Berry winning an Oscar proves this!

You know I posted this when I saw Star Trek too. Hemsworth is the man. His talents were wasted in Thor.
Here is The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) list of baddest of bad asses. IMDb: The Most Badass Badasses - a list by terraformer If Joe 2 could have these REAL MEN in it, we would have the most kick ass action military movie since Predator.
