So...i'm sure anyone who has been in this hobby as long as i have most certainly has raided at least one attic...or one friend's attic...
i was lucky enough to be able to do that yesterday...and came away with some pretty nice finds... Missile Defense Unit: complete but with broken launcher and no stickers Mortar Defense Unit: missiing only the mortar Cobra Rifle Range: Missing only one target sandbag & blue "Grunt" rifle Machine Gun Defense Unit: Missing only the big sign Ammo Dump: Missing crate top/straps, one large missile, one small missile, both mortar shells Outpost Defender: missing only the bottom of the ammo box...until i broke it with my clumsy adult hands...now i need the shorter, angled wall, shorter angled sandbags, and small angled post Flight Pod: complete...also until i broke the steering shaft assembling it Surveillance Port: complete...but one peg broken on the base Air Chariot: missing only the bottom of the snakes head Swamp Skier: complete Dr Mindbender complete Zandar complete Listen N Fun Tripwire: missing two mines and detector Lowlight: missing rifle and bi-pod Crimson Twins: missing only skyhook Roadblock (v2): missing machine gun and tri-pod Strato-Viper random accessories: CG rifle, ALL of Beachhead's stuff (but no figure), Serpentor knife, Zanzibar spear, Frostbite rifle Other stuff: Complete Thundercats Liono, Optimus Prime missing gun and car from trailer, Blaster complete, Rambo helicopter, various other Joe vehicles, Thundercats and Transformer parts...and the most interesting thing of all...a Robotech fighter jet with pilot now...the things that just blow my mind...are how all the rifles for the Outpost Defender were there...but not the actual ammo box...and how several of the figures had broken o-rings but looked as if they'd never even been played with...especially the Twins... and what happened to poor Beachhead? LoL as i'm sure is the case with a lot of these finds...sometimes it's the remnants that kill you...like a Megatron scope and stock...but no Megatron and a virtually destroyed Mauler...but no Heavy Metal mic or antennas (but still containing batteries...very corroded batteries)...CG rifle...but no CG...Strato-Viper and Raven missles...but no Raven...Flight Pod complete but completely dismantled...as if it was never put together... Also...the Ammo Dump, Machine Gun Defense, and Mortar Defense all had figure stands...i have all six...but two are a lighter shade of green than the other four...does anyone know which set had the lighter shade? Do any of you have any interesting stories of things like this? and also...do any of you have any knowledge of Robotech? i can't seem to find out very much at all... Also...i'm looking for all the missing pieces...so if any of you can help me...that would ROCK... Last edited by Recondo76; 05-15-2008 at 10:24 AM.. |

Is this the Robotech fighter jet you got? (It's 1/18th scale)
http://www.toyarchive.com/Robotech/st4/vehver.html If so, that's an awesome find! |

that's it I'm going from house to house kicking in door and raiding their attics! If you don't see me on for a few days you know I'm in jail!

That's the problem I'm having. I recently pulled all of my old ARAH collection from my parents attic and can't for the life of me figure out why certain pieces are missing. It's almost as if someone threw out just one box of my GI Joes when I wasn't looking.
