Individual. And if I remember from an older thread (Gyre-viper joecon thread?) that his skull face was some kind of botch with the nanotech.

Very excited to get this figure. (Hopefully). Anyway,I am of the impression he's an individual character. I'm working on a story to fit him into my joe-verse. He will be a mercenary type of tracker/hunter. One that even Cobra has never seen. My plan is to introduce him as a stand alone "cobra free" villian. But ,one day down the road, have the Commander attempt to hire him for jobs. Wraith will be the only Cobra affiliated (or Joe for that matter) person who will have had any previous knowledge of Shadow Tracker. Its gonna be an elaborate story and I can't wait to add a new dimension to my Joe-Cobra-IG world.

I created an original character a few years ago called Obsidian, and while Shadow Tracker doesn't fit the physical description I came up with, he's such an obvious antagonist for Spirit that I think I'll make him Obsidian anyway, not least because Shadow Tracker is a lame name; as I said on JoeDios, it sounds like a name I'd have come up with in junior high. Here's the bio: Little is known about the man who calls himself Obsidian . The only thing his wary colleagues can agree on is that Obsidian has long been in the throes of a compulsive and unsettling fixation on G.I. Joe tracker Spirit Iron-Knife. Obsidian has carved "Spirit" into his forearm in harsh, jagged letters with a blade made of the volcanic glass that shares his name. The walls of his cramped private quarters in Cobra's base of operations are covered in an agitated collage of photos and crude portraits of Spirit, the latter seemingly formed from an unlikely and troubling mixture of crayon wax and blood, presumably Obsidian's own, though thus far no one has ventured to ask Obsidian to confirm this. Obsidian claims to be Spirit Iron-Knife's brother; the first man to gently suggest to Obsidian that this is unlikely because, "Um... man... you're white," was a Viper who as of this writing has yet to regain complete mobility, nor even the ability (or at least the willingness) to speak. Needless to say, this hapless Viper was also the last person to dispute Obsidian's claim. Despite his obvious Caucasian ethnicity, Obsidian has adorned his flesh and clothes alike in the tribal patterns, totem imagery and other trappings of Native American culture and mythology, and he can often be found chanting quietly while staring intently into the gently weaving patterns of campfire smoke; the fire alarms in his wing have been disarmed, owing to his stubborn and fanatical insistence on creating roaring bonfires inside Cobra's high-tech base. Curiously, Obsidian's room has remained bare of furniture and other personal effects, nor does he seem to have a supply of firewood, which makes Obsidian's fires something of a mystery. Obsidian claims that the fires, like his astonishing skill in the art of psychological manipulation, are a "manifestation of my mystical symbiosis with the Mother Force," and most Cobra troopers simply nod their heads and smile politely at this claim. It has also been noted that even at their brightest and most ferocious, the fires in Obsidian's quarters inexplicably produce no heat. He has often been seen dancing tensely within the flames, to no apparent ill effect. A number of troopers believe that these flames are in fact a shared hallucination, that Obsidian is skilled in mysterious methods of mind control. It could be that he knows of chemicals or herbs which cause hallucinations; this would account for his success as an interrogator. Obsidian has shunned the military garb and protective gear preferred by his more cautious colleagues, opting instead for simple denim pants. His tendency is to leave his torso uncovered save for his tribal tattoos and a menacing set of makeshift shoulder pads carved, like his many blades, from obsidian. When not staring into one of his towering fires or composing another portrait of his sworn enemy, Obsidian can usually be found forcing thin slivers of volcanic glass beneath his fingernails in an effort to "Prove myself worthy of the Mother Force." This was back in the Sigma days; I don't know how I thought I'd put those shoulder pads together... at any scale! I'll probably eliminate some of the more cartoony aspects (they were perhaps more appropriate for Sigma 6), but I still think the name and the thrust of the bio fit the Shadow Tracker figure. |

Where does it say he's a trooper (builder)?
And all troops are individuals technically.

I also think he is an individual. My reasoning is because of the dreads. It would be wierd to have a whole unit of guys with dreds. It's to much of an "individual" characteristic for a troop build.

Individual - although, he could be troop-built with different heads.
