Just watching Fringe, Its a flashback episode set in the 80s and Peter is in a Toy/ Gift shop looking to pick out a toy. He's looking at some die-cast jets and the shelf under them has G.I. Joe boxes. Just got a kick out of it. Any body with a DVR? I think one might be the Slugger.

Apologies if this has already been posted or if it's in the wrong place. Saw GI Joe toys in tonight's episode of Fringe. The entire episode is a flashback set sometime in the 80's. I'll post a couple of screen caps as soon as I can get them. I wonder if they're vintage or just 25th Anniversary product standing in.

They've had Joe figures on the show at least two times before this, both in the first season if I remember correctly. In one, Peter gave a 25th Roadblock to a kid to calm him down a little, and in the other, they demonstrated the principle of multiple small shaking particles around a Joe figure will cause the larger particle (Joe) to sink; not sure what Joe figure that was though.

I'm pretty sure the two boxes were of the Slugger and the APC. Kind of behind, as this episode takes place in 1985.
