I'm still looking for a lost relic from my childhood. It was an awesome plane that I used with my Joes and I THOUGHT it was a Fisher Price Adventure People toy but I've never been able to find a pic of it online. I'm starting to think it was a different toyline. So to all my fellow collectors out there:
What other 70's/80's toylines produced vehicles LIKE the adventure people sets? Here's a link to the post I made, describing the vehicle: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7729 Again, I'm looking for other toylines LIKE the Adventure People line. If anyone could help me out, I would love you forever. |

I remember the plane you're talking about, but I can't remember the name. It's been over 28 years since I last saw one. ;)

After reading your post about the yellow plane, it made me think of one that I had. Though mine was blue. I came across this on ebay and it seems to match your description... put out by Tonka.
The first ends REALLY soon: http://cgi.ebay.com/Tonka-Airplane-f...QQcmdZViewItem Here's another (I had this one): http://cgi.ebay.com/Old-Tonka-Large-...QQcmdZViewItem Again, I really hope this is what you are looking for. I remember playing with this toy, and it was bitchin! |

Yeah... I remember the Fisher-Price Adventure People line. I had a couple. Tonka had something similar, although I'm not sure what it was called. I had a vehicle that was larger, not exactly 12", but sweet nonetheless. It's still at my parents house. It had a jack and a working winch, and you could change the tires.

Ok, so tell us dude for those of us who have been following this little drama ( J/K ), what is this thing and who makes it?
It's funny, the yellow FP plane w/ one prop and seats one in your other thread, I found one of my boys playing with at my parents house this past weekend, in an old box of my toys my mom pulled out for them to play in. I think someone had a link to a FP single seater stunt plane was in there to that I saw on a link somewhere from here too. I was really hoping the stunt play was the one you were after to help you out. Glad you found it either way, now all is complete and peaceful in the world. Enjoy your moment of zen. .

Man - I forgot all about that line. I had a couple when I was a kid. So I jumped onto eBay last night looking for some, and bid on a couple. Actually, I saw some similar stuff at Walmart recently - a lot of camping theme/park ranger stuff, and there was a plane pretty similar there too. I'd been thinking about purchasing some to use for my Joes. 1/18 scale rules!
