You can find one at your local hardware store. Just make sure it's nice and sturdy so that it can keeps it's full shape while standing straight up. Make sure it's big enough to insert into the hole.

I'd say you're half right... not only do designers want their own ideas realized (and rightfully so)... but there's probably a chunk of Hasbro that only cares about marketing to kids and saving a buck where it counts. That's the FULL M.O. of most toy companies. The difference with lines like GI JOE and TF and SW is that the collecting communities keep those alive in many different ways and have done so for decades. The difference with GI JOE in particular is that until recently, it had no big media tie-ins for the longest... and it belongs solely to Hasbro... and always has. This community and Hasbro have a long relationship one way or another... and I promise you that the design team at the very least cares (as much as they can) about collectors. The problem is that Joe (until recently) hasn't had the fire under it to get it where it needs to be. I've said it dozens of times but GI JOE is at this cult status ... waiting to either be re-lit to the masses or defused back to some form of DTC (if not something "worse.") Rise of Cobra came dangerously close to doing the opposite of what it was intended to do... Hasbro reps have said as much ... commenting on how rushed it was and the community was shattered if not simply split down the middle over the final product. Renegades could have really gone the wrong way and that second blow, coupled with what seems to be a poor performance by a few POC products, might have really done Joe in for a bit. But so far it has not. So far it seems that both POC and Renegades (despite any problems whatsoever)... are kinda 'teaming-up' to take this line and this franchise not only back to its roots but also into the future. But as for the Hasbro team... they definitely care about collectors. They might not agree or they might have ideas of their own (as they should... I mean who wants a job where all you do is make what a few dozen fanboys are moaning for only to have them complain about price point, distro, paint apps, etc as if never to be satiated).... but they do care. Actually, Doomtron... of all people on the board... you should be able to relate... how often do you tell people that you're not going to do something just because they told you to or said you should... especially if they're being abrasive or crude. Now put that in Hasbro's perspective... someone gets on here saying 'HASBLOW' or 'Hasbro sucks' or 'Hasbro doesn't care about us'... so you're Hasbro... lurking a forum, looking to throw the proverbial bone... and you're confronted with the nerd rage... and rude comments... I can't imagine why they'd NOT listen to something like that. I only use you as an example because you're very vocal about putting up with whatever. If I say 'Doomtron's threads suck and he doesn't listen...' are you gonna just flip the script and change because I said you should? Are you even gonna remotely consider my request? Probably not. And the difference is... if you're Hasbro... you're not only trying to be creative while still wielding a budget... but you've also got a job on the line. So like I said... I'm positive they care... as much as they can. YOU may think Low-Light is overrated but when was the last time you saw 99% of the community get behind a figure? Especially this community where you could give them the perfect figure based on their wants and needs and they'd find something else to complain about. I'd liken Hasbro's attempt at pleasing the Joe community to trying to describe any given landscape to a blind person and asking them to draw it from that description. Obviously I'm being dramatic but you get the picture.

I think the problem is... you started a thread asking a favor from the powers that be and people decided to then pretty much disavow any loyalty said powers might have to this community that is asking for said favor.

And speaking of fan communities, you could easily replace "Hasbro" with James Cameron, George Lucas, or Joss Whedon and it speaks the same. In fact you could find nerd rage against anyone involved in the genre with the exception of Christopher Nolan. Apparently he's the only one fanboyz maintain a blind faith and almost obsessive devotion that he will get it right no matter what he does.
