A few months ago my wife stumbled across an old storm trooper i bought for fodder sake. She asked if she can have it because it reminded her of me (she a closet Star wars geekette) and she would put it up at the shop we work at.
We go to wal-mart one night after work and she sees the same storm trooper in a vintage package and says she wants it because she likes how it looks MOC .. Now Im no MOC collector by any means with the exception of some ive never opened .. I might have mentioned liking the O.G. artwork but none th eless i try and stay away from sealed figures ..... She then tells me .. Now i see what you appreciate so much about those figures in the vintage throwbacks (25th anniversary ). Ive been at work for a few hours now and i just got a phone call saying" Hey sweety .. I'm at ross ... They only have the fury ,, a vamp with some guy with a beard and ooooohh shit wait I found that white ninja guy you like ..Oh nevermind its from the stupid ROC movie! " Then calls me from wal-mart and says " OH man baby i hit the jack pot I found FIREFLY!" I said no Honey ive got about four or five already .. She says " OH its the guy in the swat uniform your looking for huh?" Hahaha I couldnt help but laugh (not at her) and told her i would post this on "the forum" Mind you Last year she went to Marshalls during the whole 25th anniversary fiasco and came home with a giant smile and said . "You're gonna be so excited when you see what i found !!!!!" I said im sure whatever it is its awesome .. She then busts out form behind her back "BAMMMM crocmaster" I gotta say I know a wife hunting for her husband is old news but she seems to be going out of her way to hunt and above all else she is VERY supportive. This goes out to my lovely supportive wife |

LOL - You're a lucky guy. My wife occasionally hunts on my behalf, and I know how cool it is to get those phone calls.

How is the title related to the topic? I thought you were getting married or something.
Still it's cool that she's getting in to collecting. |

That's cool man. My wife does it occassionally as well but she's rather confused by the thousands of different Joes and Cobras and keeping straight what I do and do not have is pretty hard.
Of course the natural response of a husband to his wife hunting for Joes for him....(kind of like a survival instinct sort of thing)....is "Oh crap! What does she want?" lol |

My gf is the same way. it's awesome. Buys stuff, surprises me, calls me to make sure it's what I mentioned I was looking for.

I ask my wife to keep an eye out for things...and she says she will, and then says I didn't find anything.
One time I even busted her ass on it...my birthday was coming up and I asked for the Viper 6pk TRU had...I went the day before she said she was going took a picture of the PLENTY of packs that were there...she went texted me they were sold out...I hopped in the car and took a second picture. BUSTED! Yeah big argument so now I just don't even bother asking. You lucky so, and so. |

Damn thats the coolest thing ever. My wife thinks I'm alittle obsesed with these plastic crack figs, and she's right. At least I'm not out being a male whore or something. I can think of alot worse things then collecting and customizing these guys. Im very happy for you and youre one of the lucky few guys on here
