Now that we have seen most of what the the Club has to offer at this year's convention it's sprung up a rather healthy debate on what fans think the club should be doing.
Reactions to this years set have been mixed (as is expected with anything in fandom) and I'd just like to see where the fans sit on the issue of Club exclusives. Remember, unlike Hasbro the Collectors Club is something that we pay into and they're counting on us to support their wares. They're not trying to sway new consumers their way in the action figure aisle. So if our opinion matters anywhere I'd say it's with them. Sorry about the lack of an O-Ring option. The Club and Hasbro have put those to bed for good. Last edited by kneroh; 01-01-2011 at 01:34 PM.. |

I'm really torn on the Joes in the Brazil set, part of me wants 100% accurate representations in 25th form, but come on, the original Brazil Mainframe was hideous!
As you said, the Wet-suit is a perfect POC version of the Navy SEAL, but in this case fans may have preferred the original in the silver. My solution would have been to make a 100% faithful Claymore, but then have Mainframe , Dial-Tone, Leatherneck, and Wet-Suit in the same colors & camo pattern as him. But hey, that's just me. Oh, and I voted for something old & something new btw. Last edited by Beckley; 01-01-2011 at 01:39 PM.. |

As someone said on a different thread, if we are only going to get ONE version of some these rare figures, I'd really like to get it in at least the classic colors and look. Dial-tone isn't perfect, but the GIJCC figure is at least the original look. I can't complain if they at least try.

That doesn't seem to be the case now, and Wet-Suit is sporting the POC Beacheah vest, correct? If the club has the use of ALL of these parts (excluding celebrity heads of course), I don't see why they couldn't make make 95% of the characters in the Joeverse and accurately at that. The original Claymore was just a kitbash, and they have since remade all the parts he was made from in 25th form. |
