This is a set i have never really heard much about, and iv'e been collecting vintage for a long time now. It's the six Battle Force 2000 vehicles and i guess they form the future fortress base, they transorm to form it im assuming. I was just curious if any tankers here own the set and have some pictures, its actually kind of a cool set, so i thought i would bring it up just for fun.

It's actually one of the biggest disappointments of the vintage toy line. The parts don't actually snap into each other forming a solid fortress, all you can do is have them stand in place really close to each other. Lame.

Me and my brother had them all as kids, and they were prety cool. A lot of people moan about them, and I can see why, but I always liked them. The thing was, that when they were released it was durring that awkward period where things were shifting to the less realistic style, and they were getting weird and gimicky.
We got them on christmas (88, 89, 90?), anyway, I'd like to get the set again. |

Yeah it's pretty lame. It's just a piece of each vehicle set by each other (except for the Sky Sweeper piece which actually sets on the Dominator). Here's a few quick pictures I took.

Also apparently it suffered from budget cuts. I was talking with Guy Cassaday at last year's Joe Con (He designed many of the Joe vehicles around that time) He was saying how there were a bunch of features that were cut out including a main baseplate that the parts could actually plug into.
From the way he was talking, the Future Fortress sounded like it would have been really cool had it been made as planned |

I too have all of them... put it together, and realized they are far better separated into their individual vehicles... and that's saying something, because many of the vehicles suck ass separately as well.

I just bought the set off ebay. Also got the Pulverizer. They're gonna go with my Star Brigade stuff. I'm gonna skip the whole "Future Fortress" nonsense, I just wanted the vehicles.

This is news to me, I always thought they snapped together some how and was always interested in how that would have worked. I am really glad to have known this now.
