So I won an auction for an item, but I never received it. Its been nearly a month now (27 days) so it doesn't look like its coming. There is tracking info, but all it says is simply that "Electronic Shipping Info Received, Nov-19-10, 00:00 AM" and nothing more.
Does this mean that it was taken to the post office, and they lost it? As far as i know, there isnt any sort of insurance on it. I've bought tons of stuff off of ebay and never had an issue, I guess I've been lucky. Part of me wonders if the seller perhaps decided not to send it because my winning bid was quite cheap, but I have no idea. The seller has 100% feeback, so maybe I'm just assuming the worst. Anyways, I'm not really sure what to do, if it was taken to the post office, and they lost it, I wouldn't feel right trying to hold the seller accountable. What does one do in a situation like this? Do i just have to eat the loss? thank for any advice -Zandar |

get your money back through paypal,and remember you ve already seen 27 days pass without zip to show for it,so i would get your money back before the 45 days claim -back with paypal expires..........something similar happened with me and thats what i did.

I would contact the seller first, wait 3 days, if nothing file a case with Ebay support (very easy) and your protected. If the item never shows and that tracking never updates, something is afoul, but since you created a case Ebay will back you up. Patience is the best advice, again just don't go beyond the 45 days. |

I'm having the exact same issue with seller Bayattic. Purchased on November 19th, and nary a word. Speaking as someone who ships out within a day of receiving payment, I think it's excessive and ridiculous.

I contacted the seller a few days ago, no word yet, but he/she may just be busy.
If I file a claim with ebay, will that affect the seller in a negative way? If it truly was just a mix up at the post office, i dont want to penalize the seller. thanks again for the responses |

Sounds like an issue with the carrier. When I worked with GAP.com, stuff like this was pretty common. Sometimes carriers like UPS, USPS, FEDEX, etc get backed up... especially this time of year.

It absolutely will not affect the seller, the process will start very innocuous. Ebay will ask to state your issue and give the seller a chance to reply, if he doesn't, you get your money back, if he does, well at least you got him involved now and a record of the situation with Ebay.
I've had 2 bad occurrences on buying through Ebay and both times (although it didn't look like it at first) Ebay rectified everything very fairly. If this seller is worth his grain of salt he will do his best to help you. |

If it was an eBay auction, you can open a claim on this item.
They should help you get this resolved.

The more I think about this, give the seller one more day to respond. I would then file a claim.
If you are a regular buyer, then this experience will be a learning one. Go through the process and see how it will work out for you. Everything should work out fine. |
