I really loved the Joe community of the late 90's and early 2000's.There were so many great sites I used to look at all the time. But I dont see a lot of the people who were big in the community back then anymore.I used to love Mike T's forgotton joe reviews,Airtight's Hostile Enviroment,Brocklee's art,Salvos's page,Evilfaces customs and Chad and Matts customs and im sure I'm forgetting a few.My favorite site was always Generalsjoes and thank godness he's still going strong. Before any Hisstank or 25th joes, movie, cartoon, and things argued about today or any Joe resurgence for that matter, those guys breathed exciting life back into the joes and made me love them 10 times more.I miss the simpler times back then. Thanks for all your labors of love guys, your all part responsible for the Joes comeback.

I used to be a pretty active member of Sgt. Savage's Joe Battle Lines - before Fred took over. Fred did good things with it too - just got away from me. I couldn't keep up with so many sites.
Edgefind. Luke Ellison. EagleEyeJoe, and many, many more old guys that I wonder what they're up to... |

I remember visiting Quick Kick's Theater in the early 2000's. This was around the time when Brock Lee was actively creating Joe fanart, DDP was coming onto the scene, and 3-3/4" was on the verge of returning to mass market retail.
Damn it's been almost 10 years now. It's cool to see how the fandom has grown! |

I came into the Joe Community through Zartan's Domain in 1998, an awesome fanpage run by Rod Hannah who's name has largely been forgotten, but who's love of the hobby was sincere and admirable.
Lots of ugly in the story about why he closed the site, but for what it was and while it lasted, I considered it home. No thread on this subject should pass without a mention of Zartan's Domain. |

Zartan's Domain and Extensive Enterprises were better than most other Joe Sites, a shame they're gone for good. Zartan's Domain didn't actually die because of the Devil's Due "TOY PORNO PICTURES THINK OF THE CHILDRENZ" nonsense, BTW.

I too came back to Joe around the same time and Zartan's Domain was one of the first pages I called home. As for alot of other sites I know there was a rash of C/D letters sent out...most just for one reason or another had to close down. |

Hey guys.... I was one the first people to sign up for the Devil's Due message boards back in the day. I remember having great conversations on that board. I remember when that board went down for a few weeks... everybody made there way over to "the store on 44." for a while. I miss that store, seaN was a good seller but it all went to hell after the Crimson Guard debacle. Thats was the last I heard from him.
But with like anything, life gets in the way. I have been in and out of joe for years. I am back once again but again that might be for a few months or it could be for a few years.... remember "NO JOE WITHOUT THE O." that was great..... |
