i thought i would bring this up whilst i sit here listening to the tornado sirens rail around me. obviously when mother nature brings her wrath one must get loved ones and pets to safety. however, how far would you go or have gone to save your hasbro plastics from the fury of the gods? i have nightmares about this all the time and i know i am not alone.
i think i might get myself to the basement here pretty soon, a town just south of me is getting some twister sightings. something wicked this way blows my friends. |

GI Joe is way down on the list for me. I'm more worried about 10,000 comics being scattered all over the neighborhood!

By all means get to safety! Hopefully you are and not reading this!
For me my kids and wife come first (i am sure everyone else is of like mind). Sure Joes are cool but they are in the end just pieces of plastic. I would say if one has time go ahead and stash what you can of value in the basement (not just Joes!). However if you say there are sirens going off get to safety and let the Joes fend for themselves. If you are reading this let us know you are okay when things start to blow over. Take care! |

Joes are way down the list. Wife. Cat. Some books. My laptop. Anything else, insurance can replace.

i am reading this actually. i am more worried about the lightning and the computer. if you live in the mid-west, these storms can be kind of a rush. dangerous and deadly, but excitement nonetheless. fortunately, i have most of my stuff downstairs already, and it's just my girlfriend, cat, and i.

Where in the mid-west? I live 15 minutes from St Louis Mo (on the Illinois side). We got some dark clouds as while I was getting off of work today.

Well, I had to evacuate from my apartment this last October because of a huge wildfire that swept across Santa Clarita (it's a suburb of Los Angeles that lies in the hills) . No toys were packed up. Honestly, when you are in a situation where you only have minutes to spare, toys are at the bottom of the list. My life, my girlfriend's, my cat, my personal and financial records and documents are irreplaceable......toys aren't.
