I think I'm too lazy to be a scalper. Even when I have extras from just buying a case, they sit in the shipping box.
But yeah, I'm an army builder first. Besides, I'm not a fan of scalping, I'll help someone out where I can, but I'm not gonna drag them over the coals just cause I've had better luck finding stuff. |

I'm having trouble parting with the 2 Stingers, Artic Hiss and Clear Wraith I just found. They are screaming, "Open Me!"

I could never be scalper. Not in my nature to take advantage of other for monetary gain. I've help out others finding stuff sometimes at a loss to myself. Scalpers are scum.

I'm the same way. I have a load of RAH stuff that I had since I was a kid and/or bought since then. Living in a NYC apt leaves me with little room for stuff. Also being a teacher means I always need $. So I keep trying to sell or trade stuff and it's hard because I look at it and remember being a kid. Those memories are priceless to me.

When I got to the point where I had enough capital, I got a reseller's permit, a business license and bought from distributors. But if I stumbled upon an opportunity at retail (BOGOs, clearanced items) I took advantage of it. However I never bought, say, all the Kamakuras or Alley Vipers at a place. Buying at full price and trying to flip an item just doesn't add up. Buying a white coat Rex at Walgreens is madness for a reseller. Mainly because people don't pay at a rate that makes it profitable. Plus gas and time etc. Buying wholesale makes much more sense. And oftentimes, one can find wholesale prices at retail outlets. By the time it hits clearance or discount, it's fair game to my mind. All resellers "scalp" items--buy it at one price and sell it at a higher one. You might be disgusted if you saw Target's margins on stuff--not toys, per se, but on general merchandise. The beauty of the modern marketplace is we have tons of options and can vote accordingly. Adult toy buyers are an unusually passionate and vocal group. Comapred to, say, Tupperware buyers. |
