Well since ammo will become a problem after a certain time frame I would most likely choose people that will be good with hand-to-hand combat and useful skills for the long haul as it would most likely be a long drawn out situation, here are my 7 man team (Cobras Included) that I would and would not take:
Will Take: 1. Snake Eyes- good with edged weapons, ninjitsu training, etc... 2. Outback- Built for survival, good at hand to hand combat 3. Dusty- Also good with desert survival 4. Spirit Iron Knife- excellent tracker/survival skills 5. Destro- often sides with G.I. Joe, would have an excellent stock of firepower and weapons which would be invaluable to the team (for the short haul)/plus a good strategist when all the firepower is gone (plus he owns a castle, who wouldn't want to live in a castle? Even though it is in like Scotland or something) 6. Stalker- With his medical knowledge, he would be useful 7. Tunnel Rat- In case you have to go underground or you need to send someone for some quick reconnaissance 5 I wouldn't take: 1. Ace- Jet fuel and heavy weaponry won't last long 2. Roadblock- The heavy firepower would be extremely loud attracting more zombies and he may be big but it would only take a small bite to turn him 3. Shipwreck- very much doubt you would have to hit the seas so really no use for him 4. Lifeline- A medic who doesn't believe in weapons, or is it Doc? I can't remember, but really no use for a medic when supplies run out 5. Storm Shadow- Would only get in the way of Snake Eyes, we don't need that sentimental attachment 6. Blowtorch- What would he do when his flamethrower no longer works 7. Lowlight- Not going to be many sniper rounds out there when shit hits the fan 8. Airtight- Just useless 9. Sci-Fi- useless as well 10. Scoop- Do I even need a reason?

Doc and Lifeline?
If somebody gets bit or scratched what's the point of having a doctor around? He can't bring them back from the undead. I don't care what anybody says...basic military training should have taught you everything you need to know about taking care of wounds caused by climbing fences, falling debris or crashing your tri-cycle, etc... A doctor is going to spend too much time thinking about ethics and morals. There is only one thing to think about when it comes to Zombies. Shoot their 'effin brains out.
