I was just wondering if any of ya'll would want to see a corny but true version of a GI Joe movie based on the cartoon/comic. I guess it would be along the lines of a Starsky and Hutch (Ben Stiller) or the A-Team movie. I think that would be the only way a true movie could be made with characters like Flint, Shipwreck, and Spirit dressed in their OG unis. I could envision someone like Seth Green Making a fan-made movie of this but hopefully it wont come out like this

I think the fact that ROC was a little too campy is what half the us haters are mad about.

How would a corny version be true?

I don't think ROC was campy at all. To me it was a new take on and old classic, and not a very good one.

I think he's talking about being true to the original cartoon. I've been watching it on the Hub and it's funny how the absurd and the ridiculous appeared so cool and realistic to me at 12.

I don't think the recent a-team wa sa good example of campy..attempts at humor yes but nothing compared to the stupid campiness we got from ROC already...
no. I would prefer a true to life rendition of a war/conflict with a trillion dollar budget and every big name war action actor on the screen today on the scale of of lets say Toro Toro Toro or Pearl Harbor of the 60s and give them Gi Joe code names if you want something "true". Othe rthen that just do it right and make the characters who they are and quit changing peopel around to reboot stuff...GI JOE already has what it has going for it..just stick with it and give them something new to do or reason to exist. |

Exactly. I guess im talking about a short live action GI Joe fan film but with a pretty decent sized budget. I mentioned Seth Green because I love his takes on Joe on Robot Chicken, It would be cool if he could do something like that in a live action format. So maybe something like MacGruber would be a better example or the Batman Vs Predator movie only longer...
