Well, if a Tanker can build a Joe scale Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime then, ya.
It's possible alright.

What a terrible vehicle that would be. Look at how much armor is being put on Humvees in Afghanistan. Think about how much that weighs and how much power you would need to get it flying. Where do you keep the fuel? With the engine and fuel, where will you put the soldiers? I'm sure a burst from a PKM could do a great deal of damage to the vehicle anyway. I could see the idea for a medevac vehicle, but it seems like it would be slower than a chopper and would have less range.
Cool idea though!

i think with something like this
(as with any interesting and solid concept) it will take time and evolve from being a laborious piece of crap to something that is versatile and effective in battle. The idea is good in the sense that 1 vehicle can perform the job of 2 (helo and humvee). thereby a. saving space on larger transport vehics b. needing less time for crew and soldiers to move from one vehic to another c. not needing a traditional helipad d. allowing for the vehicle to get out of jams by crash landing and driving away Of course there are minuses but as i said those get ironed out in the evolution process of the vehicle.

The Sikorsky X2 technology is the true future of Army aviation...
The DARPA funded "Transformer" research exercise is to evaluate concepts.. I will be completely shocked if you ever see a vehicle engaged in combat that resembles that picture. Sikorsky released information to the public today that we are building the S-73 Raider, light tactical aircraft.. A very real aircraft. This is the real future here.. Can't say that enough.. You WILL see these... TRUST ME. Sikorsky X2 Helicopter Update - U.S. Army and Sikorsky Raider Helicopter - Popular Mechanics) |

This is dumb. they tried the concept of a flying jeep back in the 50s and 60s looks up the piaseki flying jeep or something like that. The hmmwv was great for what is was designed for but all the upgrades and after market parts blow IMHO how about they just make a great land vehicle and use helos more often like pop rocks and soda you just shouldnt mix the two
and it was called rotabuggy |

Love the helicopter. And here is yet another pic of the DARPA proposed vehicle. Any tankers out there who can built this?

I'm surprised Hasbro hadn't thought of this first.
