When I was 13 to about 21 I lost the passion for GI Joes. I got it back when the 25th line came out. So, if you ever did, how old were you when you lost the passion? And how did you get it back?

I was 12 when I decided I was "too old" for Joes. The movie got me interested again, especially when I saw all the killer stuff I missed with the 25th line. So I was 12 when I left, and 35 when I came back. It's cool to have something from my childhood to share with my kids.

my o.g. passion ended around 1987. i must have been 10 going on 11.
finding this website while looking for info about the roc movie got me back into it. ive built a crazy army for my son of modern era stuff he hasnt even seen yet. he loves the cartoon though. we've got all the sunbow stuff. and ive built my arah army up again as well. 1982-1997 mostly.

I never really did, I played with the Adventure Team as a kid, and supported ARAH since my brothers were huge with it. As ARAH was winding down HOF came out and the nostalgia kept the game alive, and prompted me to start buying the old 12" figures from my childhood and start enjoying that era all over again, as well as expanding into vintage Action Man and other Hasbro foreign licenses.
That love has carried me through the 7 year itches of Extreme, etc. until my own kids have come of age and started playing with the new Joes and Clone Wars together. |
