I think i saw a signature somewhere that said: "joes before hoes". don't take out your grief out on your joes though. hopefully you will heal up and meet someone nice that collects things and understands why you collect and will help you get over this. seriously, good luck. i know it can be tough going on alone and you can be tempted to get rid of the joes because it's thier fault, but joes made you happy. and at some point they will again.

Maybe, maybe not, but I do know that what I just did today would have been a marriage ender if I was married. Figured I would do it before I pull the trigger to go down that road. See the next topic I start for details.. lol

joes are far from marriage enders, i have to agree with everyone else on this. it seems like she was looking for an easy excuse.
i still hate this for you, things like this are never easy. hang in there. it will get better.

I say this respectfully...there was potential for damage there, even if Joes weren't in the picture. That's likely the most convenient thing she could blame her own indiscretion on. If the Joes were such a problem, she should've come to you about it like an adult and you both work it out. She did what she wanted to do, man. Don't beat yourself up over it too much.
No offense, but that's why I'll never let another man in my house like that, it's just TOO easy for something like that to happen. I've seen your situation happen to friends of mine a LOT.

sorry to hear about your situation man.i know from experience that toys, video games, comics, etc. can lead to a marriage ender if you focused more on your collection then your wife.i also know that your wife is using your collection as an excuse to do what she did and it could apply to just about anything that you love beside her.

You can always 2nd guess yourself, and I don't know your ex. But I can guarantee it wasn't the joes that brought about the split.
Good luck to you in the future. There's always good stuff around the corner. |

Thanks for the input guys, I'll keep all of that in mind. I'll admit that I don't know the real reason for what she did, but I assumed that since she was making such a big deal out of it, that would be one of her reasons at least. It's no excuse, I realize that...I'm just hurting so badly right now. I suppose I'm looking for reasons, because I can't talk to her...there's no way I can bring myself to do that yet. When someone rips your heart out and steps on it, it's very hard to talk to them. I'm going to collect joes regardless, because I need as many distractions right now as I can get. In times like this, I ask myself...What would Cobra Commander do? lol any suggestions?
