Exactly, underneath the regulation high and tight haircut and lime green pants, dudes a total damsel in distress.

I always liked him but he has been over done. Never saw a problem with him taking Hawk's light though since I don't remember too much emphasis on Hawk prior to Duke anyway in the comics. Stalker seemed to fill the role of acting 1SG until Duke's arrival and I enjoyed his appearance, though I would have given him Brown or Black hair instead of the 2 leaders both being blondes and having a rather similar look.

well... My problem with duke was that all he was was a typical "americanized" blond haired, blue eyed cookie cutter hero.
basically in the same boat as He-Man, Matt Trakker, Captain America, and several other cookie cutter hero/ leader types. he had no depth. Hell until hawk changed his uniform, they were indistinguishable from each other. (so that people don't think that's a racist statement, and example of a character with depth would be Flint, Beachhead, or General Colton. characters written with some personality flaws) the Movie Duke was even worse, as he was also dry and emotionless. Wayans might as well been hanging around with a cardboard cutout. Duke didnt get interesting to me until Image/ Devil's Due gave him some Angst and depth being a black ops undercover agent. They started writing that all those years of combat were starting to wrinkle that collared shirt. He was still Duke.. just a grittier duke. which I expected from a 20+ year soldier.
