I honestly don't remember much about the cartoon (I still need to pick up those DVDs).
Beachhead just always looked cool to me and when ever I saw him he seemed like a badass. Snake Eyes had the mystery going for him. Shipwreck just always seemed he'd be a fun dude to hang around with.

I love the comic and Larry Hama, but I'd still like to punch him in his stupid face. That's just how I roll.

I never read the comic, except for the issued with the comic packs and the Agent helix one, so they don't count in this aspect.
But cartoon wise, I loved Lady Jaye because of her voice and her look. I, too, am sick of Snake Eyes. Way too much exposure. I'd rather see SE replaced by QK anyday. 50+ SE versions, enough already. Only reason I bought the POC ones were for custom fodder. Same for Duke, have someone else in charge of the team. So to summarize, Lady Jaye...the voice, look and face time in the cartoon made me love her to death. SE, well, have SS or Night Creeper Leader kill him and make way for QKs' rebirth...or Jinx...or Kamakura. I'll even take Tiger Claw, the one from the 'best of' DVD. Your pick. |

The comic was written around Snake Eyes, so if you liked the comic, you had to like SE. The reasons I liked him in the cartoon were:
1. He occasionally dressed in drag. 2. He could dance like a motherf---er. 3. He got beat up by female teenage gang members. 4. His pet wolf may have been gay. (you can observe 3 of these 4 reasons in one episode of the Pyramid of Darkness mini-series)

Good thread
Hawk- the commander since day 1. Always wanted to be an officer since I was a boy Duke and Snakes- got into him way more as an adult. Can't imagine a better top shirt- had a SMAJ that might have actually been him (with a Western Ky drawl) Doc- just because he's Doc Snow Job- the gear- always the gear Airborne- cool gear, cool story, just loved him- still do Beachhead- Self explanatory- was Firefly but Good Flint and Falcon- de Oppresso Libre- says it all Steeler- because he came with the Mobat Stalker- Still leadin the way Firefly- probably the coolest figure ever Scarlett- moreso now as I have a ten year old daughter with red hair

I totally agree with TOO MUCH Snake Eyes. I would like to see Hasbro do something, the movie, online cartoons or PLEASE GOD a figure of JINX!
I would also like to see Snake Eyes take a mentor role and have Jinx and Kamakura for featured. I got my son the City Strike Snake Eyes and that is the only SE figure he will ever need! |
