Yea I would say its on its own. Its got similar features to modern aircraft crriers but is not a direct copy of any of them. now the ROC Flagg was an sloppily editied modern nimitz class aircraft carrier with the Howlers, 99 number and split front deck added to it for it's brief appearance...

If anyone should get their own aircraft carrier that is a one of a kind...it's gotta be the Joes. Maybe it's "Joe Class".

Escort Class (CVE) Midway Class (CV) Forrestal Class (CVA) Nimitz Class (CVN) Every class between that were simply modified propulsion plants and/or modified flight deck. Carrier classes are often defined by the number of elevators, catapults, and keel/hull design. Escort Class carriers were often modified tankers and battleships with flight decks placed on top. Midway class carriers were actually the first true commissioned ships designed from hull up to carrier launched aircraft. They also were the longest running class of carriers. Forrestal Class carriers were similar to the Midway Class but added steam powered catapults. The "A" designation is often dropped from this class. They are the first true "super-carrier" class of the fleet because of their sheer size. Nimitz Class carriers are the first carriers developed around their propulsion system and the first true all-nuclear powered class aircraft carrier. The newest class (set for launch in 2015) is the Gerald Ford Class of carrier which is supposed to not only handle full aircraft launching capabilities, but facilitate amphibious assault launches as well.

Gerald Ford, huh? Let's hope they don't fall on their face on amphibious assault landings. ;)

LOL - I guess they're running out of US presidents to put on the hulls of ships. Funny part of this statement is that this class of carrier is supposed to be "stealth". How stealthy can you make an aircraft carrier? Ironic, huh?

It's funny, but seriously. How do you people expect a true to life replica of an aircraft carrier that is 1100 feet in length? I mean, the Flagg was hands down the largest playset in Joe history. Yes, you could only house about four Skystrikers on it. But come one... How much realism do you need in a toy?

I view it as a rapid-deployment, special forces assault platform, scaled back for maneuverability, speed, responsiveness and flexibility to mission needs. Thats how I explain the size. I only use it for launching VTOLs and Choppaz, along with the myriad of small craft the Joes have. It refuels the Whales and Night Rays during operations.
It is Hull Number 99, The One and Only Flagg Class.

I served on the USS Kinkaid DD 965 and USS John Young DD 973, so I appreciate and respect the very well-informed explanations given buy our more knowledgable afficianados that spoke before me.
Well done, shipmates.
